Mine is sage and onion stuffing - oh my lord! Anyone else care for a bit of lighthearted divulging? Better out than in, after all!

This thread is therapy.

It also reminds me that DC1 and I were painting the kitchen the other day, and I kept letting off silently. He thought it was the bin. I didn't disabuse him.

Quorn, leeks and Pizza Hut pizza!

MustDust · 29/03/2020 22:33

Onions and garlic are the worst, 2 of my favourite foods too. So yes to stuffing, and also falafel, I could eat it every day but my family would kill me!

TotallyWipedout · 29/03/2020 22:33

Given that you asked, OP, the evening before the kitchen-painting gas attack, I had eaten vegetable broth (leeks, onion, potato, carrot, cabbage). Two helpings thereof.

Princessfaffalot · 29/03/2020 22:33

Home made butternut squash soup! Made some day yesterday, was laid in bed by the evening letting loose while I thought dh was safely tucked away on the computer in another room...he wonders in asking if I can smell dog poo! I feigned ignorance...still haven’t told him!

GloriaMaximus · 29/03/2020 22:34

Apples. Oh it's agony. I burp and fart concurrently.

BigChocFrenzy · 29/03/2020 22:35

Beans, onions, garlic, cauliflower, broccoli

  • trouble is I do stir fries with these ingredients most days now

Just as well I live alone !

RuudGullitOnAShed · 29/03/2020 22:35

Lentils

And last year we were staying in a beautiful hotel and I had the French onion soup which included a whole blackened roast onion.

The resulting windage was spectacularly eye watering - we were planning on going back to the same hotel this year and I am trying to decide if it is worth succumbing to the total deliciousness of the soup and having to live with the consequences!

Snaptheirfingers · 29/03/2020 22:37

WitchD I needed a laugh today and you gave my a proper one. Hope you're still enjoying sprouts, egg and onion!

TotallyWipedout · 29/03/2020 22:38

Thank God for a MN farting thread. 😂

Reminds me of the time I had French onion soup in a cafe with a friend when our DC were little. Fuck me, I farted my way home. I didn't say anything to her, though.

A few weeks later, she asked if I had felt a bit windy afterwards, because she had. I said no, obviously.

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 29/03/2020 22:39

Pizza! But for some reason takeaway pizza is worse than homemade.

I reckon it's the bread/Cheese combo. Bloody papa John's especially.

stressedmum95 · 29/03/2020 22:39

We tried a body coach recipe one night which was a pasta sauce made with a jar of peppers, cashew nuts and garlic all blended together then poured over the boiled pasta. OMFG! I have never experienced anything like it, the next morning when I stood up I must have farted for at least 10 mins straight.

ClientQueen · 29/03/2020 22:40

Onion bhajis

PickAChew · 29/03/2020 22:40

Mushrooms. Dairy (I'm lactose intolerant). Pastry. Bread. Supermarket battered fish. Eggs. Citrus (tends to make me shart). Tea.

UnfinishedSymphon · 29/03/2020 22:41

Bread, especially Warburtons toastie, love the stuff but I could out fart Jonny Fart pants an hour later

AgeLikeWine · 29/03/2020 22:43

I once went to stay with friends who are veggies. They cooked a bean chilli with brown rice for dinner, which was delicious so I ate loads of it.

I woke up the next morning feeling horribly bloated. The pulses seriously disagreed with my guts and I was farting constantly for most of the day. I could have played tunes with my arse Blush.

CorianderLord · 29/03/2020 22:43

Jerusalem artichokes... annoying because they're divine with polenta

Medievalist · 29/03/2020 22:46

Brazil nuts

TotallyWipedout · 29/03/2020 22:46

They make excellent soup as well, @CorianderLord If, that is, you can cope with the consequences.

reenon · 29/03/2020 22:47

Lentils...ate some before going in to labour with DD2, farted my entire way through and then pushed out a lentil poo before having her Grin

maddy68 · 29/03/2020 22:48

Bread

Oopsinamechangedagain2020 · 29/03/2020 22:52

Not me but my husband... Blue Dragon Sweet Chilli Sauce. He went through a phase of eating it with every meal/snack because he loved it so much. We didn't love the stench and realised that that was the only that had changed in his diet. When he stopped eating it the relief was almost immediate. He now has only has it twice a week with no further problems.

jmh740 · 29/03/2020 22:54

Dried meat substitute called beanfeast I love it as a quick easy meal but it doesnt love me. I had some once when I worked in a residential childrens home I was on night when I woke up the stench was awful, one of the boys was convinced there was something wrong with the toilet, i tried my best to air the room but felt really sorry for the member of staff who was sleeping in that night.

nettytree · 29/03/2020 22:56

Chestnuts. I stopped eating them while I was working. But now I'm not, the family just have to put up with it.

Nimello · 29/03/2020 22:59

A lentil poo. 😂
