Why are people so stupid?! I’ve seen posts about reporting to the police but can they do anything if it’s in their own home? There’s only 2 people round.

Go and knock on the door and confront them ? Absolutely pointless moaning on here about it

Cohle · 28/03/2020 22:27

They are being total arseholes. But there is something unpleasantly third reich about informing on your neighbours.

Frigginella · 28/03/2020 22:27

I know I need to try ignore this I just question how many people are ignoring the advice which is putting others at risk

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 28/03/2020 22:28

Loads of people are, Ive seen it myself. But that’s always going to happen.

HoffiCoffi13 · 28/03/2020 22:28

Yes, and by being responsible for myself and my family what’s what I’m doing... protecting frontline key workers. My entire household have just self isolated for 14 days due to one member having a cough. My mum, who is 60 next week, is a frontline key worker.
I cannot be responsible for my neighbours protecting frontline key workers, however.

Villageidiots · 28/03/2020 22:28

Worrying that so many seem to think this is ok. As if the rules and prognosis of 20k deaths 'if we're lucky' mean nothing.

AlwaysCheddar · 28/03/2020 22:28

Anyone who can’t see that your neighbours are selfish c€$¥% are indeed twats. Do you think this social distancing is a joke...,

Sparklfairy · 28/03/2020 22:28

I think mine did the other night. Heard lots of different voices through the wall. Now today all I can hear is both of them coughing.

I judge not. As long as I don't have to pass them in the narrow communal corridors.

Nicknacky · 28/03/2020 22:29

No one thinks it’s right 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Cunninglittlevixen · 28/03/2020 22:30

Mrsbyers - surely that's what mumsnet is for?!

DowntownAbby · 28/03/2020 22:30

Have a look at this thread.

The double standards on MN beggars belief.

We are royally fucked if we think this virus is going to be controlled.

PositiveVibez · 28/03/2020 22:31

Why are you paying so much attention?

Judge not......

Seriously??? What the fuck are people not fucking getting here?

Of course you can't really do anything OP. But you're entitled to judge them for being selfish cunts.

Saddler · 28/03/2020 22:33

Utter morons.

1Morewineplease · 28/03/2020 22:34

I’m not sure if reporting them will achieve much.
There are far too many stupid people around now. Just today , I saw a family of six out walking.. presumably their defence was “ we’re exercising .”

Teakind · 28/03/2020 22:34

My neighbour has had visitors too. He's a police officer! It's crazy and so frustrating for those of us who are following the rules.

hm246 · 28/03/2020 22:34

For those a saying ‘ignore’ in about a week or two hospitals will be full. People like the OP who is a NURSE will be the ones facing this head on! I’m sorry you will be cleaning up the mess caused by your idiot neighbours. Personally I would find it very hard not to say anything to them.

Pulppixies · 28/03/2020 22:35

I’d do nothing. I’m in work on monday where I’ll be interacting with around 200 people. If you’re worried about one person going in next door, wtf do you think about that?

Frigginella · 28/03/2020 22:36

It’s just sad that we have a nation with so many morons. I shall leave them to it.

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 28/03/2020 22:36

What’s wrong with a family of 6 going for a walk?! I’m really starting to despair with people.

Youngatheart00 · 28/03/2020 22:36

Same here. Sounds like they’re having a family party, same as most Saturday nights. Definitely more than the usual household of 2. And no, I’m not being a ‘nosy neighbour’, the noise is at a level I can hear the shrieks and laughter over my TV.

Makes me angry. To those who have said there are “real crimes” going on - I honestly see this as a “real crime”. Someone could lose their life as a direct result.

starsparkle08 · 28/03/2020 22:37

For gods sake focus on your own life and get a grip . None of your business .

Youngatheart00 · 28/03/2020 22:37

And also to mention that the neighbour has an absolutely terrible cough that I can hear through the wall at night. I despair.

Greenpop21 · 28/03/2020 22:38

Report.

Greenpop21 · 28/03/2020 22:39

@starsparkle08 it’s everyones business.

Greenpop21 · 28/03/2020 22:41

@1morewineplease walking with your household members is allowed.
