Jesus! I suppose he's claiming to be "joking" but he's not, is he?

myrtleWilson · 28/03/2020 17:04

what is his twitter name....?

Jellybean27 · 28/03/2020 17:05

Link won’t work for me

StillWeRise · 28/03/2020 17:07

that's appalling
surely the governing body of his sport should be stepping in?
always had my doubts about boxing as a sport but I know lots of people defend it
no idea how this man can be silenced but sports people would know surely?

LizB62A · 28/03/2020 17:09

According to his followers on Facebook, it's a harmless "joke":

If that's a joke, I just don't get it....

moonriverandme · 28/03/2020 17:11

Is there a boxing regulator or somewhere he can be reported. I have never seen such a vicious, misogynistic, abusive video. He needs locking up. I feel sick.

fairislecable · 28/03/2020 17:11

Surely this is incitement to violence and as such he should lose his professional boxing licence.

I hope this is drawn to the attention of the relevant bodies.

If he is a father there is also a safeguarding aspect.

RoyalBankOfFuckThis · 28/03/2020 17:14

Now he's posted a vid of him taking supplies to hospital....

Damage limitation attempt??

I think he's tried to be funny and massively misjudged.

I watched a video from an Irish dad on fb who was offering to bathe his dc in bleach just so long as teachers took them back because he couldn't home school any more. It was very funny and clearly a joke.

I think this guy has tried (and failed) to do the same. Very misguided and i'm sure it will come back to bite him.

Dragongirl10 · 28/03/2020 17:16

Incredible, l have just left a tweet for him telling all what a pathetic little man he is... anyone want to join me in deluging his twitter account with comments?

RoyalBankOfFuckThis · 28/03/2020 17:24

Yes Dragon.

It's a horrible video but I'm pretty sure he is joking.

I know it doesn't make it right and honestly he is the type of person that should be championing women to his male followers.
Could you imagine how much good he could do for domestic violence if he stood up and rallied for women and told his followers to do the same!

It's pretty sad that he misjudged it so badly and also that his followers find it funny says something about the sorry state women's rights are in. Sad

SpoonfulofDragon · 28/03/2020 17:29

Who are the relevant bodies? I would prefer to contact them but don't know where to start.

RoyalBankOfFuckThis · 28/03/2020 17:30

A joke may be a flippant comment with a punchline.

This is a planned, thought out video, recorded, talking about the fear in a woman's aeyes and her confusion as a man punches twice in the head with incredible force.

Who would see that as a joke?

I'm sad that even women are dragging the whole 'I'm sure he's only joking' line.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT.

Mushypeasandchipstogo · 28/03/2020 17:32

Incitement to violence, nothing less. What a vile POS.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/03/2020 17:34

I knew there would be an attempt to say this was a joke. Jokes are meant to be funny. This isn't. The police and domestic refuges are already on high alert to step in because it was obvious that lockdown would increase the rate of domestic violence. A punch to the jaw can kill. Men are physically stronger than women, this is a fact, so a man who punches a woman could cause her serious physical harm, and that's before we start on the emotional consequences for her and any children in the house.

Winterwoollies · 28/03/2020 17:35

Wow, he's thick as mince. He can barely form a sentence. In what world is a boxer committing domestic violence against women a good source of comedy? What was he thinking? And how are his followers defending it?

He's obviously taken too many knocks to the head.

RoyalBankOfFuckThis · 28/03/2020 17:36

I didn't say it was a good joke, or a funny one.

Do you think that it was seriously intended as an instructional video on how to attack women? I don't.

It's stupid, misogynist and very misguided and unwise (if for no other reason than the inevitable impact on his own career and reputation). But do I think it was 'serious' - no. Hence I think it was intended as a joke.

resipsa · 28/03/2020 17:57

The bloke who posted his High Court order in 'support' is also very dodgy.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 28/03/2020 17:58

WTAF! Utterly vile.
That was actually worse than I expected despite the warning.

Men can & do kill women with their bare hands. I hope he is done for incitement to violence.

DamnYouAutoCarrot · 28/03/2020 17:59

Vile human being!! I've commented too.
