We've already got Netflix and amazon. I don't ever pay for extras on amazon. I'm a single parent whose self isolating with 3 young primary kids. Is this Disney Channel worth the bother? x

It’s free. Of course it’s worth it if it’s free.

Just set a reminder on your calendar on the day when your free trial is set to end and make the decision on that day to cancel it or not (and stick to that date so not to be charged a subscription if you decide it’s not).

ScorpionQueen · 28/03/2020 13:18

I think it's worth it but you may end up keeping it, so might have to cancel Netflix or Amazon

foamrolling · 28/03/2020 13:18

We've just downloaded it. I only agreed on the basis we could afford the fiver a month if they really like it. I didn't fancy giving them a glimpse of something really good for a week and then having to cancel it.

SwerfandTurf · 28/03/2020 13:18

If you have O2 you can get it for six months extremely cheaply (if you try the free trial and find you like it).

OhioOhioOhio · 28/03/2020 13:19

Yes. I think I could manage the fiver. Is it just kids programmes? x

Star wars and marvel too

CaveMum · 28/03/2020 13:24

It’s all Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic content. We signed up for the reduced price before it launched and so far we’ve watched something every day. If you regularly take the kids to the cinema (in normal times!) then yes it s definitely worth it for £5 per month.

WhyIsIt · 28/03/2020 13:24

I actually do really like it so far

purplelila2 · 28/03/2020 13:25

I don't think it's worth it limited choice and not anything you couldn't get anywhere else!

goldenorbspider · 28/03/2020 13:25

I think for £5 it's a bargain. If we weren't self isolating I wouldn't have bothered

AlpacaGoodnight · 28/03/2020 13:26

I'm really impressed! Way more than I thought I would be.

flumposie · 28/03/2020 13:27

We've used it 5 times already this week. My daughter has been watching some of the older Disney films. I think it's worth it.

TwoleftUggs · 28/03/2020 13:28

I’ve signed up despite having Netflix, amazon and sky already. Figured £6 a month for a few months is worth it while we have nothing to do and nowhere to go. My two mainly wanted to watch the old series - good luck Charlie, Austin and Ally, boy meets world etc. Once they’re done with those it will probably get cancelled again, they aren’t much into films, although the selection of films is really good!

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 28/03/2020 13:31

We are loving it so far. We can have it on four screens at once, so I can separate the children and watch myself. Free for the trial, then £6 a month is money well spent, for now anyway. And there's no contract so can cancel anytime. We've found loads to watch so far.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 28/03/2020 13:32

We signed straight up for it a while ago, it’s fab. Tempted now with Netflix but already have prime so it may duplicate.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 28/03/2020 13:33

I like it so far. However unless they plan on adding new content regularly like netflix does then I can see myself cancelling it after a few months.

I don't think it's worth it limited choice and not anything you couldn't get anywhere else!

Not sure the second part of this is true. The disney and Pixar back catalogue isnt available on demand on any other streaming service to knowledge. I know you can buy the downloads from sky movies but for example the incredibles 2 is 13.99 on sky for a digital copy which is more than 2 months worth of disney+

SueEllenMishke · 28/03/2020 13:33

We're loving it. I'm really enjoying introducing DS to films from my childhood. We're having a mighty ducks marathon today 😁

I did that yesterday. I'm doing pirates of the Caribbean today.

sorryiasked · 28/03/2020 13:37

The content list is here

OhioOhioOhio · 28/03/2020 14:26

Thanks everyone. I've just downloaded it. I can't get it on my tele though. Is there a reason. Was I getting it already with amazon and Netflix?

Cissyandflora · 28/03/2020 14:29

Just signed up too. Can’t get it on my tv though. My smart tv is 2012 and not compatible. I’ll have to update or buy something compatible. I’d enjoy the innocence of Disney right now. I’m struggling.

Soubriquet · 28/03/2020 14:29

You tv needs to be an up to date version, and you might need to go to search to find the app

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 28/03/2020 14:36

The app is available on ps4, xbox. It's also available as an app on skyQ if you have that.

OhioOhioOhio · 28/03/2020 14:36

I got the TV last year. Ffs. So annoying.
