What will happen? Obviously things will take a long time to go back to complete normality but will shops re open? Will people be able to go back to work ?

Not a chance!!

My husband and I have been in here for two weeks two days, and are fully prepared to stay here for months. Not a nice prospect but it could be worse.

I really wish people would stop being so cavalier about a 'fast-tracked' vaccine for Covid-19, as if this were a Hollywood movie.

Do none of you remember the dozens of children who were compensated by the government when the rapidly produced vaccine for swine flu in 2009 caused them to develop narcolepsy, a life-long disability? To add insult to injury, the compensation they received was paltry. And that was when there was a functioning economy.

Rushed science is bad, bad science.

Out of the frying pan, into the fire...

I think the current restrictions will be in place til June. Hopefully then things will be a bit more relaxed but well still have social distancing etc til about October

EffOrf · 31/03/2020 05:53

Probably 6 months with slight lifting of restrictions on and off, hopefully it won't get stricter but may do for a couple of weeks or month over Easter, a bit like a simmering pot they want to keep it just on the boil.

TreeTopTim · 31/03/2020 08:01

There is no way things will get back to normal after the 3 weeks. They will either stay the same or if people carry on flouting the rules things will get stricter.

twinnywinny14 · 03/04/2020 17:42

Given that the suggestions are that the peak may come over Easter weekend, where will that leave the lockdown situation?

Taddda · 03/04/2020 18:16

I (briefly) read something about the possibility of an 'immunity passport' coming into play before they were going to consider lifting restrictions? But obviously mass testing needs to happen well before then?

I'm trying not to read too much news tbh, so swiping notifications, just hoping for a brief glimpse of anything positive.

It's a beautiful day.....

Lightas · 03/04/2020 21:49

Better go out and catch it then if there is an immunity passport or I could be in lockdown forever and ever
