OH is lovely, wonderful caring attitude and fantastic with my DD

Anyway, he has a picture of his mum above our bed. We’ve been living together for 4 years now, and it makes me really uncomfortable 😂
I adore MIL, she’s a lovely lady and we have a fantastic relationship, it just makes me feel uneasy when we are ‘doing stuff’ that I can see a picture of her looking at me.
It’s a lovely photo, would love to have it in our lounge or kitchen...

AIBU to suggest to DP that maybe we could relocate MIL? Want to raise the issue but not cause offense 😬

Just tell him you would feel able to be more adventurous without mil stood over you like a gymnast judge...

Just want to add it’s not the only thing above our bed as that makes us sound weird as fuck. There are book shelves and other bits. Just MIL peeking at me from behind stuff makes me feel awkard

He is home from work in about 15 minutes. I will ply him with a gin and tonic and then broach the subject of peeping MIL...

and no he didn’t put it up while we were together 😂 that’s why I didn’t want to mention it as he has welcomed us into his home and he is a fantastic guy with a lovely mum, would just prefer her to be judging my cooking in the kitchen rather than stuff in the bedroom

Oh that's okay, for a minute I imagined an a3 sized portrait on a bare wall gazing down at you. Would he actually notice if you moved it ? Just say it's such a lovely photo good like it somewhere it can be seen properly, like the living room. Good luck and enjoy the gin.

My exh once measured his 'equipment' for a laugh - man child - and rang my mil to tell her the result as he was chuffed.
