I doubt it - she's done the MN version of vague-booking and isn't going to say what the item was - because of course no-one else would have this this item on their desk. Hmm Whereas I suspect that the item is very normal and ordinary, and she doesn't want us all telling her how daft she was to refuse to say what the item was.

@SurferRona I've never "met" anyone who actually has a Fuggler. I love them. I have a necklace, but would love a real one. My favourite is the one with the old man's pants Grin

You had us at AIBU, but you need to follow through OP, you are up against weird kids names, hand gel angst, parking wars and Mothers in law from hell. It's hard life on MN, if you want to get on trending you have to give us a little treat to keep us sweet.

This! Grin

It was done deliberately, ripped up and then a text to tell me that’s what they’d done.

OK, this sounds like somebody being vindictive and deliberately trying to upset you.

This is a very frustrating thread but if you are going to continue being so secretive about the item can you at least tell us:

  • WHY did they do this?
  • Do you know why? Did you ask them? Did they tell you why?
  • What did you say when they told you?
  • Did you go ape shit at them and if not why not?
  • Have they done anything like this before? Do others in the office know?

@LikeGlitterandGold, I need more on this lowercase 't' story, please

Pinkywoo · 13/03/2020 20:28

Was it a life size cardboard cutout of Bob Ross complete with easel?

@StegosaurusRex

It was quite a few years ago, my bosses CF friend fancied himself as a computer expert and was always over creating chaos with our computers. I found an article about keeping difficult people away from your office which involved printing out a lower case Times Roman t as large as you can and putting it up on the wall. I did that and found, while it didn't bother any of my colleagues, it massively bothered him. I don't know what he saw but, since it kept him out of the office, I left it on my wall for ages!
