A total of 14 votes so far and every single one of them are meaningless with no context from the OP.

Inbox me hun

I love 'guess the context' threads:

YWBU to make a shrine to her. I think it was reasonable for her to throw the home made doll away.

How did you even manage to cut her hair without her noticing?

WildflowerChild · 06/03/2020 18:46

It wasn’t rubbish! For anyone telling me to tidy my desk.

Nothing work confidential.

YABU for not providing any useful information

Oblomov20 · 06/03/2020 18:47

Boring. Can't stand teases!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 06/03/2020 18:47

Rolex watch - v v unreasonable.

Empty crisp packet - reasonable.

In other words - there is no way to answer this question unless we have some idea what was thrown away.

donquixotedelamancha · 06/03/2020 18:47

YANBU. Your boss had no right to throw away all those photos of your dog, although he was not wrong about how much time you waste kissing each one, every time you leave your desk.

vodkaredbullgirl · 06/03/2020 18:48

Any dentists in here, its like pulling teeth for info.

HappyHammy · 06/03/2020 18:48

What was it then. Why wont you give us more info.

SoupDragon · 06/03/2020 18:48

Was it a scale model of the Taj Mahal made out of earwax?

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 06/03/2020 18:48

Ffs, these threads are ridiculous

How is anybody supposed to give you a proper answer if you don't ask a proper question. Hmm

bellinisurge · 06/03/2020 18:48

We have a clear desk policy because we have a lot of secret papers Wink. We are expected to throw anything sensitive left lying around at the end of the day in the confidential shredder. Last person in does a sweep. Obviously not someone's family photo. Work stuff.

Herpesfreesince03 · 06/03/2020 18:48

Ffs op. Spit it out

WildflowerChild · 06/03/2020 18:49

It doesn’t really matter what it is (I also don’t want to be too identifiable)

But in general does anyone have the right to throw away something of yours they’ve taken from your desk (that’s not rubbish, food, drink, nothing perishable, not offensive, homophobic, racist or sexist)

Ffs op. Spit it out

She can't. Her colleague might throw it away.

HollowTalk · 06/03/2020 18:50

Of course they shouldn't. It's your desk and unless it's something offensive, in which case your manager should deal with it, other colleagues should leave your desk alone.

WildflowerChild · 06/03/2020 18:50

And nothing at all work related.

OP posts:
vodkaredbullgirl · 06/03/2020 18:50

Why, are you working for MI5?

Lynda07 · 06/03/2020 18:50

Used condom?

ABlackRussian · 06/03/2020 18:50

No, they don't have the right.

What are you going to do about it?

donquixotedelamancha · 06/03/2020 18:50

YANBU. It's very impressive that you made a pen holder from a dead rat, but it was starting to smell.

Nikhedonia · 06/03/2020 18:50

Yes, YABU.

Ninkanink · 06/03/2020 18:50

Can you at least tell us a broadly equivalent item so that we have some idea?

Did it literally belong to you personally?

Sparklesocks · 06/03/2020 18:50

I really don’t think it’s possible to say yes or no without knowing what the item is. Some stuff no they don’t, but other stuff I would say potentially.
