Asked not to have sex.

We're going to stay with friends for the night on Saturday. I've only met the my friends partner a couple of times, but she asked through her husband that my partner and I not have sex while staying at their house.

Isn't this weird?
Would you ask this of guests?

Okay I've read the whole thread and I need to ask because I think I must be pure filth. The thought of doing it when you're not supposed to would be a massive turn on to me. If you weren't planning on doing it, I certainly would be now.
Runs away to set myself on fire

Maybe it's reverse psychology and she's installed a camera.

OP, can you just find out, is heavy petting OK? Oral maybe? Is kissing allowed, but not with tongues? I think I'd have to ask. So many questions.

VenusTiger · 02/03/2020 22:46

@h3av3n Can't believe so many people here think it's normal we don't - we just don't expect to be asked not to - that's what's weird!

Gwenhwyfar · 02/03/2020 23:30

"😂😂
I'm longterm single and it wouldn't occur to me to be offended, jealous, whatever"

I'm long-term single and I really wouldn't like it to be honest if it was very loud. However, if there's obviously an effort to be quiet, that would be OK.

DeeCeeCherry · 02/03/2020 23:43

Silent sex might be fun. Then again they may be on patrol outside bedroom door.

I wouldn't go anyway. It's a weird request and I'd be creeped out or think they'd have a camera in the bedroom or some such. Oddbods.

Last time I had guests for the night it was a fairly newlywed couple and they were here for New Years... (hi friend!)

to be honest, I was surprised they DIDN'T have sex!

We certainly made use of our respective neighbouring hotel rooms a few days later though!

Do all the people that are offended by this sort of thing never have sex with the kids in the house etc too? I'm genuinely confused.

GuineaSomethingGood · 03/03/2020 00:19

That is weird of them to request that. At least it is only for one night, but really! how rude!

Fieldofgreycorn · 03/03/2020 00:39

OP did you make it back out alive?

chipmunkscheeks · 03/03/2020 00:40

Agree the request is weird. OP, could it be that she has issues with the idea that her partner has a close female friend? And/or, is it possible that he might have talked about you in a way that made her think he had a crush on you in the past? Obviously neither of these are your fault, but if either or both of these are true, the dinner is going to be weird no matter what you do.

Keeley88 · 04/03/2020 21:50

Want to know what actually happened, has OP gone ahead with staying or booked a hotel?
