We're going to stay with friends for the night on Saturday. I've only met the my friends partner a couple of times, but she asked through her husband that my partner and I not have sex while staying at their house.

Isn't this weird?
Would you ask this of guests?

OP posts:
BeardedMum · 01/03/2020 19:44

I would go and have sex all night in their sheets😂

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 01/03/2020 19:58

So what happened in the end?

cabbageking · 01/03/2020 20:07

Are they religious?

Ediemccreedy · 01/03/2020 20:11

COME BACK OP !!!!

turnandfacethenamechange · 01/03/2020 20:24

Do you think she doesn't want her husband hearing you have sex because she thinks he likes you and if he heard you having sex it would perhaps be a bit too sexy for him?

I feel like that could be it. In which case they have major problems!

Ugzbugz · 01/03/2020 20:28

I would defo have sex, discretely but would jit because 🤣

I would've sneaked out into the garden shed and groaned until the neighbours' dogs barked!
How on earth would they know you didn't have sex? What has it got to do with them what consenting adults get up to in bed!! Outrageous! Perhaps it's their kinky room where they film amateur porn OP.

wheretonow123 · 01/03/2020 21:16

I think people are getting their knickers in a tist if you excuse the pun.

Their house, their rules. Simple as.

If you don't agree with it don't visit or stay over elsewhere.

And if it was me I would not have questioned it.

redwinefine · 01/03/2020 21:34

That's a bit strange but i know some people who think like that. The last time I was staying at a friend's house she assured me that her and her husband wouldn't be having sex that night in case I felt uncomfortable knowing it was going on. WTF? How would I KNOW???

h3av3n · 02/03/2020 04:31

I think it's fair enough, awkward but fair. It's so uncomfortable to hear others having sex...Can't believe so many people here think it's normal, I wouldn't want to hear the obvious banging noise, the sounds the couple makes etc nor would I want others to hear that from me!

Nquartz · 02/03/2020 13:50

Did OP cancel in the end? Or stay in a hotel? I remember both options floated but can't remember what was decided....

rattusrattus20 · 02/03/2020 14:16

OP shouldn't have sex when a guest in someone else's house.

If OP has no form for ridiculous behaviour then it's very strange for her friend to have to ask her not to have sex in her house. If OP does have form then I guess it's maybe OK...

wheretonow123 · 02/03/2020 14:25

I wonder will the OP come back and let us know what transpired?

SnoozyLou · 02/03/2020 14:30

@Hohohole, is this a windup?

I wouldn't go. She sounds too much of an oddball for my tastes.

walchesterweasel · 02/03/2020 14:49

This reminded me of a 'friend' that asked if he could come and stay with his new girlfriend , having left his wife. The bed , when he left ,was awful. She must have been on her period and they'd gone at it hammer and tongs. Some time later we found out he'd never left his wife .

@walchesterweasel That is GRIM.

MysweetAudrina · 02/03/2020 20:16

Maybe you should check whether they have any objections to you shitting in the toilet. It would never occur to me to think about guests having sex in my house. I hope they would feel relaxed enough and comfortable to do so if they wanted. Really fucking weird thing to say and her partner is even a bigger eejit for doing her bidding.

BasilFaulty · 02/03/2020 20:38

Okay I've read the whole thread and I need to ask because I think I must be pure filth. The thought of doing it when you're not supposed to would be a massive turn on to me. If you weren't planning on doing it, I certainly would be now.

BurnerPhone · 02/03/2020 20:55

I feel like this story is going to end up on the daily mail and she's going to be really paranoid

h3av3n · 02/03/2020 21:30

Do you lot have EXTREMELY thick walls or something? Or you just wouldn't mind hearing your friends having sex and then handling the sheets they had sex on after..?

PersonaNonGarter · 02/03/2020 21:38

Cannot ever imagine asking this of friends or being asked. It’s a control too far.

Agree she is trying to isolate him. Try to stay in touch with him, OP, but the friendship is probably doomed.

incognitomum · 02/03/2020 21:40

Ewww gross...bizarre...bleurgh!

Yes I'd cancel.

whattodo2019 · 02/03/2020 21:57

How bizarre. Who would be offended by a couple having sex FFS..
I can't see this friendship lasting
