@ofwarren Your updates are appreciated. I was just being a bit facetious in case any one lurking was one of the moaners who have had a go at me in the past for doing the same thing.

What post was that on Helena? As long as it's relevant I don't see an issue. Had a couple of flouncers so I thought I'd make sure I wasn't annoying everyone 😂

notangelinajolie · 26/02/2020 01:06

ofwarren

Please carry on with your updates. They are very much appreciated from me.

HeIenaDove · 26/02/2020 01:10

Its usually on housing threads.

Im trying to keep up with updates , particularly on Italy as i have family there so i do appreciate it Thanks

Knockalockin · 26/02/2020 01:40

I posted earlier about DD coming home from a half term ski trip in Italy feeling unwell (slight cough, diarrhea, stomach ache) no fever, eating fine.

Rang NHS 111 today for advice on sending her to school tomorrow. They advised self isolation and are sending someone to swab her tomorrow. I was really surprised as she's definitely improving rather than feeling worse and she's not had a fever at all.

Although I can go out and to work as I have no symptoms (yet)

Balloonsandbunting · 26/02/2020 01:51

Sooo, what do you think I should do? We drove back from the Tirol yesterday (live in Germany), and i’m ill. Fever, weird cough (the kind that doesn’t usually start straight away, iykwim.) Looking back, I had weird neck ache and a splitting headache during the night on Friday, but I had driven for 7 hours, so I didn’t think much of it. I should phone the doctor and keep the children off school, right? DH will think I’m ridiculous, but I couldn’t forgive myself if I KNEW I was ill, and sent them anyway...

knowmenclature · 26/02/2020 02:05

The advice is now for the whole family to self isolate, so no, don't go to work, even if you dont have symptoms

PumpkinPieAlibi · 26/02/2020 02:19

@ofwarren - Your updates are very much appreciated on my end. I have tried the whole combing through Twitter thing and it's tedious to say the least, so I appreciate that you've taken the time to do it. Smile

eeeyoresmiles · 26/02/2020 02:26

I agree Balloons, you should keep them off school.

It doesn't matter right now if out of every ten kids kept off school nine and a half will have a different virus - better safe than sorry in this case, and at least you're not risking passing on whatever you've got - even if it's not cv no one else will want it.

NotJustACigar · 26/02/2020 02:40

I am meant to be going skiing for a week in the French Alps next week with an old friend. I'm probably going to cancel the trip. Am I being too cautious do you think? DH has severe asthma and I just don't want to take any unnecessary risks because of this.

Balloonsandbunting · 26/02/2020 03:18

eeeyore you’re right. Hideous day ahead for me, sick with healthy children at home.

eeeyoresmiles · 26/02/2020 03:39

Good luck!

Lycidas · 26/02/2020 04:54

The test for Coronavirus in the US will cost you $1400. $3000+ if you don’t have insurance.

What a joke. No wonder they’ve only tested around 400 people in the entire country.

GorkyMcPorky · 26/02/2020 05:40

The test for Coronavirus in the US will cost you $1400. $3000+ if you don’t have insurance.

Seriously? Surely they have a global duty of care to be making tests accessible.

fearnotsnot · 26/02/2020 06:13

@NemophilistRebel personally I wouldn't go.

Orchidflower1 · 26/02/2020 06:23

@ofwarren if you don’t mind please carry on with updates. I don’t use twitter and the info useful. Tbh I’ve followed the threads for a while and sometimes just skim to your update 🤦‍♀️
