Child in a jumpsuit for wedding

So my DP's Sister is getting married in May. My DD will be 11 months old. I cannot find a dress I like anywhere!
The only thing I've found that I really like is a jumpsuit, however, my DB thinks that I am insane not putting her in a pretty dress!
My dp is giving her away and acting as 'father of the bride' so he obviously wants his little girl to look pretty.
What does everyone think? Aibu not putting her in a dress?

That's pretty. I have two little girls and until they were about 2 I thought they looked weird in dresses so yanbu.

It's fine for a baby! Just dress her in something that's comfortable.

Has it got poppers on the bottom? If not, that is going to be a pain in the arse for nappy changes!

I think it's pretty. I would ask DP's sister if it's formal enough though. I do think girls in dresses when they're not even old enough to walk securely look a bit daft but for the sake of one day I'd put her in anything reasonable the bride and groom were happy with.

It looks lovely and just as pretty as a little dress.

I think that jumpsuit is a bit informal, but fine for a child that age as a normal guest at a wedding. However, but as your DP is one of the wedding party I would go with his wishes on this occasion. I'm sure you'll find a nice dress.

Actually just reread for age - nappy changes? Does it have openings so easy to change?

Surely nobody expects an under one to be got up in a wedding outfit?? Put her in something practical and comfortable; she’s a baby.

It’s pretty but I think it will look odd on such a young child. It looks nice on the child in the image but I don’t think it’ll look good on an 11 month old

I went to a small but formal wedding last year. There were half a dozen guests in jump suits ranging in age from a young teen through to an 80yr old!

Only if it has poppers for nappy changes!

I think it's lovely, and just looking at the photo, it looks like there are poppers up the inside of the legs.

TBH I think it looks like something to be worn on a normal day playing, not for a special occasion.

Can you afford both? Go for the monsoon-ish pretty dress for the formal bits and then change her into the romper when no-one cares and she’s rolling around the floor!

She's 11months! She can wear whatever is easy and comfortable!

@GreenTulips it's not about 'bowing down to the man' it's his family's wedding and it is also his decision what his child wears to the occasion. Has it's his family I think the final say should be his on this occasion. If it was OP's family then I'd say she'd get final say. As they have different opinions someone has the make the decision and in this case I think it should be him.

However I would also in that case expect him to be doing the leg work shopping for an outfit he likes.

Cute but no way is it dressy enough for a wedding, that's an every day outfit
