Tyson Fury's sons' names

lynsey91 · 21/02/2020 17:47

I have vaguely heard of Tyson Fury but today I read an article about him in The Mail (I know!). He has 5 children and 3 are boys all named Prince!

I mean how can they all have the same name? I assume they have nicknames at home but even so what is the point of naming them all the same. It's just totally weird and really seems rather stupid

Newfornow · 23/10/2020 23:16

I actually love him a little.
I don’t know for sure but I think it’s
Prince someone
Prince next one
Prince last one
So prince is More a title than the name
Typical of DM to present it like all three same name

LadyCatStark · 23/10/2020 23:26

They’ll go by their second names. Tyson is doing amazing things for disabled sport in our area and has personally helped one of my very favourite friends with his mental health, which is amazing that he gives up his time to do this 🥰.

Sudofuckoff · 23/10/2020 23:30

@ssd

I like tyson fury and his wife, they seem a great couple
Yeah, as long as she's chained to the bed ready to cook for him.
CoRhona · 23/10/2020 23:33

@ChaosTrulyReigns

Have a close look at how DM actually captioned this photo Wink
They are utter fuckwits there, aren't they!?

The newspaper that is, not the family...

ApplePlumPie · 23/10/2020 23:35

This place has gotten utterly bizarre over the past few years-
Any discussion of remain/Labour Party/BLM that isn’t grovelling agreement automatically means you are bigoted/thick/selfish/ignorant

But apparently you can be homophobic, racist, sexist and a violent thug and that’s ok as it’s your culture.

Seriously??

Tillygetsit · 23/10/2020 23:40

I heard him say in an interview that as he is the king, all his sons are princes so they're called Prince secondname.

Dosta · 24/10/2020 00:23

Every single one of you who has used the word Gypsy to describe Tyson Fury need to open up your ears and educate yourselves!

Gypsy is a contraction of Gyptian, which is a contraction of Little Egyptian and is a British slang ethnic descriptor of Romani and Domari people, who are an entirely separate and different race and blood line with a different language and customs than Irish Travelers, which Tyson Fury proudly is.

There are some cultural overlaps such as when what type of education should begin and end, and age of marriage, but in the main there are considerably more differences between the race, some very substantial, and very opposing opinions and belief systems, which is the reason the majority of Irish Travelers and most Romani's don't live on the same places as each other. it tends to end badly quickly.

It's a low blow and deeply offensive, regardless of your opinions of the man, to muddy his ethnicity.

It's offensive to Rom's everywhere to have views that are acceptable to announce out loud in Irish Traveler culture, ascribed to Romani culture where it is not.

Many Romani may think and believe many things about Gaudja's that you wouldn't like, and are prejudiced and racist, etc, but it is against Romani culture to publicly announce them as aggressive racism and especially to or in front of Gaudje. Different cultural rules for Irish Travelers.

We're not a homogeneous lump!

Damien Le Bas is a Romany whose family have some Posh Rat blood and grew up 'settled' on sites, and sometimes in brick and had a very unusual childhood.

There's a lot of talk of ignorance on this thread and yet it seems a lot of you are equally ignorant lazy racists.

If you wouldn't do it to Black cultures, how come you think it's ok to do it to Nomadic cultures? Educate yourselves!

Dosta · 24/10/2020 00:28

BTW Mother Teresa was a Posh Rat. Her father was Gaudja, and her mother was Romani.

Leaannb · 24/10/2020 00:48
**@PeterPanGoesWrong I get that he can call them what he likes and I am not worried about it. Just find it extremely weird and wonder why he did it?

I assume not for publicity as I am pretty sure I am not alone in not knowing what his children were called. I didn't even know whether he had children or was married as I am not interested in him.

I can't decide if they were too lazy to think of 3 names (although the girls have different names) or thought it was clever or funny. To me it just seems stupid and silly
You should look up an American Boxer by the name of George Foreman. He as 3 or 4 George Foreman's running around with at least 2 of them by the same woman. Part of me thinks they are by 1 woman but I really don't want to face the reality that there is a woman who enable that level of narcissism. I'm gobsmacked that there are 2 women like that. I think this enough internet for the day

Dosta · 24/10/2020 00:55

All those talking about both races 'removing children from education' young. You mean removing them from your education system. There's more than one kind of education.

When lockdown happened, large numbers of Irish Travelers, Romanitchels, Romani's, Kharnies, and Iddies, found themselves crowded into tiny sites were no social distancing is possible and facilities unable to cope.

It is thanks to their education that you don't value, that despite much bigger challenges than most Gaudja, they've risen to the challenge and anecdotally at least, Coronavirus hasn't swept through sites killing large numbers even when the water supply has broken under excessive numbers.

warrsan · 24/10/2020 13:17

He's probably going to pass on his 'values' to his poor kids.

LadyCatStark · 24/10/2020 20:23

@Dosta he calls himself the Gypsy King...

grenlei · 24/10/2020 20:34

Couldn't care less what he calls his kids. What I do object to is his homophobia and racism, and that he and his wife have openly stated their daughter won't be going to school past 11. I don't consider that in any way acceptable or admirable, but to make it clear that it's girls rather than boys who will be removed from education shows some pretty clear evidence of entrenched misogyny too.

But hey that's his culture so we can't comment or we'll be branded as bigoted racists...

NeverAMillionMilesAway · 24/10/2020 20:56

I vaguely knew a family with four daughters: Mary Elizabeth, Mary Catherine, Mary Anne and Mary Claire. All were called by the second name.

Dosta · 24/10/2020 23:29

LadyCatShark and Rachel Dolezal called herself a black activist, does that make it black people white now?
Think about it.

BigBadVoodooHat · 24/10/2020 23:50

Quite. I’m reading this thread in complete disbelief. So many people (and I’m guessing predominantly women, given the MN demographic) falling over themselves to defend a misogynistic, homophobic, anti-Semite.

I’m hoping there are a lot of professional contrarians and wind-up merchants on here, because I genuinely can’t fathom how anyone could read his views and conclude he’s a great guy Confused

Newfosterer · 25/10/2020 00:08

It’s not just his sons either. His brothers son is also called prince.

Bid876 · 25/10/2020 00:14

Didn’t he do it because he’s gypsy royalty or something. He’s nicknamed the gypsy king and his sons are all his prince’s.

George Foreman did the same, all his sons are called George too.

Dosta · 25/10/2020 00:45

Course he is. Myth making to a bunch of gullible Gaudja. thus it ever was.

almondfingers22 · 25/10/2020 01:18

@moondance19

Have we now reached a stage where we shouldn’t gossip about celebs in case they’re fragile, perhaps they’re in the wrong job.
Exactly. I find it strange when people think celebs shouldn’t get discussed. I mean if we didn’t discuss them they’d hardly be celebs. Perhaps we’re supposed to only talk about them in a worshipful way.Confused
acarp · 25/10/2020 22:35

So Irish travellers calling themselves gypsies is the same as Rachel Dolezal now?

emilybrontescorsett · 25/10/2020 22:56

With regards to the names, I imagine the children will be referred to by their second names.

Dosta · 26/10/2020 04:23

Acarp8 Not much different other than Gypsy being a Gaudja pejorative term for Romany.
Rachel Dozeal's a white woman passing herself off as a black woman and claiming her false persona as a representative of black culture.
According to others on this thread, Tyson Fury is doing the same.

Irish Travelers are a race, with their own culture, language and attitudes. The stuff Tyson Fury's come out with isn't unacceptable within it.
Romany's are a race with their own culture language and attitudes, and it wouldn't be acceptable to come out with the stuff he's come out within it.
If you're going to pass yourself off appropriating someone elses culture, at least follow what's acceptable or not.

Maybe you should stop going on about racism whilst spouting gowjer at everybody? raging hypocrite
