Tyson Fury's sons' names

I have vaguely heard of Tyson Fury but today I read an article about him in The Mail (I know!). He has 5 children and 3 are boys all named Prince!

I mean how can they all have the same name? I assume they have nicknames at home but even so what is the point of naming them all the same. It's just totally weird and really seems rather stupid

I think in Gypsy/Romany culture this is more common. Also to the pp who was talking about the children leaving school at 11, again that is normal in their culture.

They all have Separate middle names. I'm finding the documentary very interesting. He's an interesting character

It is quite "normal" for girls from traveller backgrounds to leave school at 11. It is thought the only education they need is how to keep house & be a "good wife"! I wasn't aware the boys did the same.

They can't all be called Prince day to day? Surely they have middle names that are different? Post is going to be a nightmare when they get a bit older!

My paternal granddad and his siblings (4 male 3 female) were all called Gordon. They were known by their middle names but Gordon was first on birth certificates etc.
Venezuela Fury is a great name though.

Their three boys share the same first name - Prince Tyson Fury II, Prince Adonis Amaziah and Prince John James.

Tyson's dad and mine have been friends for decades, Tyson honestly is a wonderful man. The school thing is definitely to do with being a gypsy, they will be registered as home schooled.

I found myself liking him and his wife on the documentary.

@Skysblue I don't think people are being mean. They're just commenting on the fact that he's made an unusual choice when naming his children.

I heard of a rock star from ages ago whose children were called Scott, Scott, Mary and Mary. No idea why that has lodged in a corner of my brain for so many years!

Is anyone going to argue with him about his choice of names?

They have a lovely mum and dad from what I can tell, plenty of money too no doubt, so I wouldn't feel too sorry for them.

I read that and saw the boys are all called Prince - I quite like it. The article I read was saying he was disagreeing with his wife about her wanting to take the kids out of school at 11 and how he will set a new precedent by keeping them in school? I saw his wife on BBC breakfast and they all seem quite nice.

ShirleyPhallus thanks for reminding me about J'Majesty. My late cousin and I were so in awe of this and dared each other to use it, and then we both forgot and gave our kids boring peasant names. Made me smile and remember him today.

Tyson wants his children to continue with school, it is his wife that wants them to be brought up with her traditions.

There is a large Irish traveller culture in the area where they live.

I thought they seemed a nice family, very committed. There's worse things in life than being called Prince even if your brothers are. Actually the Queen's 3 sons are all Prince something are't they.
