Its such a simple thing, and can make all the difference.

We are all guilty of it, me included, So instead of making negative comments about the work colleagues, fellow school mum's, stranger on the bus...Say something kind, you never know, it could just make all the difference. No-one really knows what people are going through.

Anyone who wants to vent/talk/cry....Please feel free to let rip here, It's OK not to feel OK

If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😊

In a world which values selfishness and self absorption, I think we all need to try to think more about others. Do unto others as you would do to yourself is a really good motto. Not just your nearest and dearest, but those you meet randomly. The person on the phone from the call centre, the guy at the bus stop, someone you meet on a walk. Be considerate, behave with generosity and thoughtfulness. Ultimately selfish behaviour doesn’t make a person happy.
Also trying to put yourself in the other person’s situation and show empathy. I think in the days when people were more religious they were reminded of the importance of thinking of others. TV these days is full of nastiness which doesn’t help. I sometimes catch a few minutes of East Enders whilst flicking through the channels and it just seems to be people screaming at each other, attacking each other and general venom. I used to watch it years ago, God knows why.
It’s really good that schools are promoting kindness. It’s so much more important than just focusing on achievement.
I agree though that kindness shouldn’t trump healthy boundaries. If someone is taking advantage or abusing is, our first care should be for ourselves. Kindness to oneself is the starting point, but that’s not the same as egotism and self absorption.

I am kind to people. Say nice things, do kind deeds but in my mind I have a bitchy thoughts at times. Hate myself for this and try to think nice but these thoughts just pop up 😔
