Quorn meatballs

Where have they gone?! Just used the last pack in the freezer and the supermarkets didn't have any when I went.

Any similar suggestions? Trying the birds eye ones tonight so will see how we go.

Hope the Quorn nuggets don't disappear now!

I probably am being unreasonable but I know what I like and I don't want to compromise 😁

Please tweet them if you get the chance! @QuornFoods maybe they will listen but if they are just chasing the ‘meat free’ (ie vegan but not for vegans) and ready made meals (yes I’m really going to but 3 little veggie cottage pies for a family ping dinner).

Are they chasing the ‘young and trendy’ market - who they think want to eat over processed vegan food and can’t/won’t cook?

The Birdseye ones were not popular in our house. Iceland's 'No Bull' ones are really nice (as are their burgers)

I like the Linda McCartney pies (but then I’d eat anything in pastry) but the sausages are greasy. Quorn is low fat!

Linda mc meatballs are amazing but hard to get

Try the Tesco Wicked kitchen Amazeballs. They are delicious!

All the Wicked Kitchen range has ridiculous names. If you can get past that, some of it is actually quite nice.

@Lordfrontpaw they are so good. Also their sticky toffee pudding (also vegan) is so good. In fact everything I've had from them is great.

Quorn hotdogs found in Asda today.
I've picked up some if their meatballs to try too.

Quorn is cauldron. I emailed quorn to complain and found this out. I moaned a bit more and asked why I couldn’t get Cauldron arancini any more either.

They said my comments would be sent to R&D (or the bin more likely). Suggested I loo at their new stuff. Told them their new stuff is gal.

Anyhoo - yes, the good stuff is now discontinued to cater for the ‘I’m not veggie but I want to eat non meat once in a while (cos it’s trendy innit) and can’t be arsed to cook’ ready meal market.

Hopefully now bloody veganary is over the stocks of meatballs will be back in. But they aren’t making it all vegan so that’s something.

Miss the Quorn gammon steaks too, loved them.

Tesco today and the Quorn section still tiny. Also lots of plant based food in the reduction aisle.

Wow - is that because the veganaryites have gone back to their sausage rolls and steak pies? Surely not.

Or maybe it’s because all the new fangled over processed muck looks like dog vomit?

@clarazabel I've got 4 packs of the gammon steaks in my freezer. I'm rationing myself as I've not seen them for ages in the shops, so fear they are gone for good.

I’ve found 3 packs of best of British sausages in the bottom of the freezer - so that going to be rationed out too!

I found the Quorn meatballs in farmfoods!!!! Not sure if you all know that they're back but I thought of this thread straight away and had to share the exciting news. Can you tell that lockdown is getting to me when the highlight of my week is Quorn meatballs

I now use fried and chopped up Richmond Vegan sausages instead of meatballs and everyone in our family much prefers them.

I've heard they're good but never seen them in shops.

I miss the frankfurters :(

Also, where did the Cumberland sausages go

I have a theory that Tim Martin has bought them all for Wetherspoons vegan breakfasts

@BarbaraofSeville - I know this is a zombie thread that's just been resurrected but I found Quorn Sausage Patties in Heron Foods last week, I too used to make an own version of McDonald's breakfast😀
