I was born in 1991 and just turned 29. Some of my clearest childhood memories are thinking that Spice Girls girl power stuff was powerful feminist thinking, 9/11 and the millennium bug (the year I left primary school)....

But somehow when I have to count back years I tend to forget the 2000s existed! Wishful thinking ahead of my impending 30th year maybe.... Shock

Played DD Paul McCartney and the frog chorus today, we all stand together, which was released last year wasn't it 1984

The beginning of the 90s are as close as 2050!!!

I teach sixth formers who have no recollection of the financial crisis of 2008! Messes up so many of my lessons expecting them to know about it - I teach finacial maths as part of a lot of lessons I have discovered!

I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit today. That’s 29 damn years ago!

(As a side note where is all the angry music now? We were so damn angry then. Why are the kids today so passive? They have so much more to be angry about.)

Someone pointed out that the Sea Empress disaster was 24 years ago this week. I remember seeing it floundering in the sea as I got the bus to college. It can't be that long ago Sad

FlamingoAndJohn today's teens barely even drink. It makes no sense to me either.

The 90s were only last week. 70s are a bit retro. 60s are very retro. Your DD is BVVVU.

Hmm. I was enjoying an advert (how old fashioned) the other day for some music and then realised it was being referred to as 'Classics'. Late 90's early 00's stuff.

I felt ancient. I'm 34 weeps
