To think not many people will turn up for the Brexshit 'celebration' in London

I see they've put flags down the mall but I feel like not many people will turn up for this. I know there's the big draw of farage, Widdecombe, and possibly the racist Jim Davidson. AIBU to think there's not likely to be a big turnout?

JamieVardysHavingAParty

If you feel the same way in reverse about Remainers, goodie goodie gumdrops.

Very adult, good for you.

Just goes to confirm what I said, that there will be no pulling together, doesn't it?

Not as long as remainers try to claim that they are all innocents victims, that hold a moral high ground whilst forgetting the vitriol that they spread.

We all distrust each other.

You and others from both sides may do so, and yes whilst people are not going to move on, there will be no "pulling together"

As for the celebrations, and racism, none of it is done in my name or with my support.

And FYI, I actually look forward to those that will continue to try and gain re-integration with the EU. Not because I support it because it is their democratic right to do so.

SilverySurfer · 31/01/2020 22:45

BBC News says thousands of people are attending a rally in London so wrong with this guess OP

Cinammoncake · 31/01/2020 22:49

Thanks silverysurfer I wonder how many thousands have turned up?

What the fuck is wrong with you

Firecarrier · 31/01/2020 23:22

There is unlikely to be a huge turnout, I mean, it's London, need I say more Hmm

Yes, people can travel/stay over (expensive and inconvenient) or just quietly raise a glass at home or celebrate with family. It is basic geography that London is rather difficult to reach for many. There is no need to infer anything from the turnout, although no doubt many will. Ironic really as the same folk doing this were probably saying the referendum result and the election result didn't infer anything Grin

dimsum123 · 31/01/2020 23:31

Out of 17.4 million people, a few hundred have made it to parliament Square.

Pathetic but only to be expected.

Patroclus · 31/01/2020 23:33

Well we've ha our first fight here. Some morons put up a union jack with 'out' written on it in the 99% polish area, then had a cry when he and it were removed from the area

Patroclus · 31/01/2020 23:35

So much 'healing'

tinytemper66 · 31/01/2020 23:38

I just laughed at why, if they are so patriotic, they needed the words of the National Anthem projected onto a big screen! 😂

AutumnRose1 · 31/01/2020 23:38

Patroclus 99%?

Pleased to see the Muslim couple right at the front for Dominic Frisby.

I watched the livestream. Will look at papers now.

madcatladyforever · 31/01/2020 23:40

Don't you think it's time the Brexshit comments and endless mockery stopped now. I'm thrilled we're out but I don't go on and on and on about it because most of my friends are remainers and I respect their feelings.
My son and his wife are a remainer and a leaver and they are quite happy togehter so pack it in, you are starting to sound like a petulant child.

theunknownknown · 31/01/2020 23:41

Lol'ing at our top man, the lying adulterous Johnson, saying that life chances won't be dictated by where you are born.
Lying cunt. A decade of ideological tory austerity.
What have the tories done to those communities, fucking decimated them. Why couldn't the tories have supported those left behind communities whilst we were in the EU.
And these leave idiots believe this despicable liar.

Patroclus · 31/01/2020 23:43

Awwwww a pet muslim couple at the front. SO cute.

Patroclus · 31/01/2020 23:43

Did they ask everybody their faith?

Patroclus · 31/01/2020 23:45

Nahhhhh. I'll never stop. You can deal with the fucking shit you've left behind like an adult.

AutumnRose1 · 31/01/2020 23:46

Patroclus

No, but there is a style of dress that I find recognisable, partly due to my heritage.

It was just ironic given how many times Brexiteers are told we’re racist or any other number of things.

Patroclus · 31/01/2020 23:47

Ah I see, you just assumed cos they were brown

AutumnRose1 · 31/01/2020 23:48

Patroclus it’s ironic because normally I get told off for not noticing anything about anyone.

Why do you think they were brown?

TheVanguardSix · 31/01/2020 23:49

Liverpool has far more class than whatever shithole you come from

Comedy gold, that.

AutumnRose1 · 31/01/2020 23:50

I would normally be the first to say, you can’t tell my religion by looking at me

But tonight I’m exuberant and silly and I thought the party would be a bit shit but the livestream looked quite fun.

AutumnRose1 · 31/01/2020 23:53

And to round off, I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again

I have been a coward. I didn’t want to say I voted Brexit for practical reasons like not losing my job, but also I couldn’t face the “coconut” accusations and I now I look at Priti Patel, Sajid Javid etc and think, hang on, if they can step up, so can I.

Goodnight Seattle, we love you!

PickAChew · 31/01/2020 23:55

They did, though. Weather has been good.

Fioshits.

PickAChew · 31/01/2020 23:56

Dipshits!

PickAChew · 31/01/2020 23:57

I'm a remainer and think pritti is all arsehole.
