Nigel Farage is a DISGRACE TO THE HUMAN RACE AND SHOULD BE DETAINED AT CUSTOMS

What the hell was that debacle in the European Parliament yesterday when he had the audacity to stand there grinning like the Cheshire Cat, basically telling them all good riddance, and then this was followed by the horror of his cronies such as Anne Widdicombe and other half-wits taking it upon themselves to rise to their feet to wave their silly little Union Jacks and sing something? Was it Rule Britannia? They were told to sit down or get out like a pack of show-off fools in a classroom.
Why is this man allowed over there? Can’t someone detain him at customs or something? Grinning like the Cheshire Cat and making us look like bigoted fools everywhere he sets foot. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a politician this much - and that’s saying something. Vile, pathetic little man who needs to crawl back under his rock for good.

Its all a bit fizzle rather than bang isn't it, given really nothing much changes for another 11 months. Smile

StoneofDestiny · 30/01/2020 22:32

Ps I think Nigel deserves every penny he had got/will get from the EU, how deliciously ironic that he is rewarded by the grasping atrocious body that he played such a pivotal role in helping to free us from. Cheers Nige wine

Actually it's us, the taxpayer, providing the huge pension. I'd rather the money went to our NHS that will suffer from this crass decision to leave the EU.

saraclara · 30/01/2020 22:42

All the other MEPs, both British and European, acted and spoke with such grace, emotion and intelligence yesterday. While the Brexit party ones behaved with less respect and style than a bunch of seven year olds would have had. I was appalled.

Softskin88 · 30/01/2020 22:45

Unpleasant, yes, but it is not our national tradition to arrest people whom we disagree with.

Some people on both sides of the debate seem to be forgetting that these days.

Tillygetsit · 30/01/2020 22:45

He is the coolest piece of gammon to ever disgrace British politics.

Tillygetsit · 30/01/2020 22:46

OMG that was meant to say vilest not coolest. I'm ashamed of my autocorrect.

Fithles · 30/01/2020 22:56

Silence is deafening ......

You'd think that now that the day of celebration/freedom/Rule Britannia/waving flags is almost upon us that one example of what will improve would not be too much to ask?

What do we all have to look forwards to?

(I find the pantomimesque charade of 'don't tell them, we've already told them before' or 'it's not worth it' or 'you'll just get insults' or 'if they don't know by now they never will' hilarious and telling. Same answers I've been seeing and hearing for over 3 years now. Not one tangible reason though.)

Please explain your use of the word gammon Tilly.

Excellent programme on C4 last Wednesday about Nige. Dominic Cummings - not someone with whom I have anything in common - BUT he finds Farage as dangerously repellent as I do and has described him as 'not a fit and proper person' to be allowed near government. With which I wholeheartedly agree. I recommend watching the programme to see how neatly the Tories pulled the wool over Farage's eyes and then the rug from under him. I don't know who said "patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel" but it's clearly evidenced by the infantile behaviour of the bunch of fools who will lose their MEP jobs on Friday 👋👋👋

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 30/01/2020 23:18

So anyone who doesn’t idolise this half-wit is now a “frothing leftie

It’s ridiculous...but people do struggle with the idea that you can vote tory or be centre right and dislike ANY politician even vaguely ‘right’

ive seen it a lot

DontFeedTheAnimals · 30/01/2020 23:28

YANBU, he is odious.
However, he does have a right to his opinions, however distasteful I find them. I find the level of support for the man more baffling and weird than him, though.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 30/01/2020 23:31

My leaver dad loves what farage has done...but not the man himself

I might see if i can persuade him to come on this thread, it would be awesome to see his reaction when he is called ‘a frothing leftie’ ....ive never seen a human explode

PickAChew · 30/01/2020 23:35

There is a picture of him, Jim Davidson and a portrait doing the rounds on Twitter, today and there has been some fun photoshopping.

KenzoBaby · 30/01/2020 23:51

See how you feel about Farage? That's how I feel about Sturgeon and the-soon-to-be-forgotten Corbyn.

Farage has achieved his career's ambition and taken this country a good way back to being "Great" Britain again. He should get a medal. I'd definitely buy him a pint if I met him.

Downton57 · 31/01/2020 00:19

He is an odious, smug twat and I find people who support him unfathomable. He hasn't made Britain Great. He has made us look very small and ugly.

TigerOnATrain · 31/01/2020 00:20

Well said!

BlokeTarget · 31/01/2020 00:27

He was voted in as an MEP- thats what hes doing over there- did you vote in the euro elections?

StarbucksSmarterSister · 31/01/2020 00:28

the UK, a country worth 28 smaller states

Bloody hell, the spirit of the Empire is alive and well.

Farage is a charlatan and a total embarrassment.

KenzoBaby · 31/01/2020 00:33

I'd go so far as to say I'd give Farage a blowie as a thank you!

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 31/01/2020 00:42

As he always does he created a media interest and the media were happy to oblige

It really didn’t need as much coverage as he received

Still we are talking about him .....

Monty27 · 31/01/2020 00:45

OP
When you wish there was a "like" feature on MN. Good for you Smile

TigerOnATrain · 31/01/2020 00:51

Oulu · 31/01/2020 01:05

I find it particularly gratifying that Farage and his merry men now have to wave goodbye to the fat profits they've made out of MEP expenses claims. I suspect the European Parliament are delighted about that as well.

Nippybutsweet · 31/01/2020 01:15

@Sallysaved
We need political alignment and to be told what to do?

Like Boris the dictator is doing to Scotland right now - double standards there I think!

Changename5000 · 31/01/2020 01:21

I thought it was fantastic and two fingers up to the EU
