We also have a Spital-in-the-Street here in Lincolnshire - dirty buggers 😂

ArtichokeAardvark · 10/01/2020 17:45

I had an ex years ago who lived in Pratt's Bottom in Kent. Best part is there's a pub just outside the village called The Cock Inn.

Yes, I sniggered like a child anytime I passed.

I also live near the Wallops (Nether, Middle and Over).

We used to have Wibbly Wobbly Lane nearby but people kept stealing the road signs so they changed it, the sign now says 'Carters Lane formerly known as Wibbly Wobbly Lane'

Mockers2020Vision · 10/01/2020 17:46

Purbeck has its Piddles and Puddles.

Some say the two are connected.

Sarcelle · 10/01/2020 17:47

There is a place called Dull in Scotland, which has twinned itself with a town in USA called Boring!

Ilovelblue · 10/01/2020 17:47

Somebody may have posted this already but I used to work with somebody who was from the Orkney Isles and her screensaver was the sign for Twatt.

cortex10 · 10/01/2020 17:48

Couple of Piddles in Worcestershire as well

AllergicToAMop · 10/01/2020 17:51

You will laugh but it's actually in tongue breakers in one of the slavic languages 😂

It is an awesome name

Surplus2requirements · 10/01/2020 17:51

There's an Up Down Bottom in Dorset

Geoffreythecat · 10/01/2020 17:52

Used to live near Six Mile Bottom, it's funny how it becomes normal after a while. Where is the Ten Mile Bottom mentioned above, I've never heard of that one? Also Trumpington needs adding to the list.

Parsley65 · 10/01/2020 17:55

Dh & I have a photo of us both grimacing at each other by the sign for 'Loggerheads' in Shropshire Grin

Shockers · 10/01/2020 17:56

In Lancaster, there’s a Bashful Alley and a Slip-in Lane (also an alley). I’ve always imagined transactions of the lustful kind going on in them...

iswhois · 10/01/2020 17:56

Sandy Balls in Devon surely has to be up there

I remember at primary school a classmate describing his holidays there in a "what did we do over the summer holidays" type session

It was too much for a class of 10 year olds

haverhill · 10/01/2020 17:56

Lickey End and Shitterton are pretty good.
There’s a Donkey Town somewhere.

Shockers · 10/01/2020 17:58

In Pilling, Lancashire, there’s a Green Dicks Lane. I often wonder, as I drive that way, whether Dick had terrible knob rot, or whether he was an early eco warrior.

LoadOfOldTosh · 10/01/2020 17:59

Anyone like to visit Shellow Bowells in Essex? Grin

hippospot · 10/01/2020 18:00

I was going to mention No Place in County Durham but someone beat me to it.

There is also Quaking Houses.

Pity Me is another village nearby.

CatteStreet · 10/01/2020 18:01

Fucking produces a beer called - what else? - Fucking Hell.

littlecabbage · 10/01/2020 18:02

Box Bush!

Icantfind · 10/01/2020 18:04

I always thought Giggleswick sounded like a fun place to live.

ImNotShpanishImEgyptshun · 10/01/2020 18:06

Bawdrip in Devon. Funnier if you're Scottish.

Chuffit · 10/01/2020 18:08

Wank, where I'm originally from.
Which really does make me a wanker 😂

Insaneinthemembury · 10/01/2020 18:08

@littlecabbage I drove through Box Bush the other day!

There's a 'World's End' near Llangollen... not funny but very ominous!

GruciusMalfoy · 10/01/2020 18:08

There's a place near me named Fannyside Lochs. I believe you travel Fannyside Road to get to it.
