To be annoyed with daughters preschool?

First day back and my daughters new jacket has been stained with paint! She wears uniform and i have no issue with that clothes being stained or wrecked. It is preschool afterall. But i didn't think that included her jacket! I tried talking to one of the assistants about it and was fobbed off and asked if i wanted them to take a damp sponge to it. The paint had dried in and it's non washable paint so a damp sponge was pointless imo. I am so pissed off about this. Not sure if to go to the heads office tomorrow or no. Opinions?

Also you definitely do not need to buy another?
Children do not need to be smart. It doesn't matter that her coat has a paint stain, as long as it keeps her warm and dry.

Next time i would get the cheapest possible coat, e.g. a second hand one

I couldn't get worked up about this. More people would have moaned if they hadn't worn coats outside and had just had aprons. You'd probably raise a laugh in our staff room!

We buy bundles of clothes from the boot sale specifically for nursery, it's so much cheaper and there's no upset when stuff gets stained. She also continues to wear the clothing that is stained. She has 2 coats for nursery so we always have a clean one for when the other is in the wash
But she is a particularly mucky child. She gets paint literally from head to toe (so even nursery shoes are from car boot sales now), and especially loves digging in mud.
