This isn't true for everywhere. Wasn't it the metropolitan police that were recording crimes based on self-identified gender and not sex? If I had to guess I'd say West Yorkshire police probably record by gender identity and not sex as well.

That’s utterly untrue. In countries that accept males who identify as trans, such as Ireland and many police forces in the UK, the person’s claimed ‘gender’ is recorded and not their sex. Therefore their will be a recorded increase in so called female crime. That’s absolutely disgusting.

While my son is at less risk than a girl I would take the same approach with any daughter of reminding them about body ownership and minding boundaries
