I've never liked NYE. I have a few mental and social issues and I always feel pressure to have to do something.

I would give anything to enjoy socialising but I just don't.

What are you all up too x

At home with DH and DD, board games, films, buffet food, chocolate and red wine. I’m knackered after Christmas and we’re looking forward to NOT having to entertain and the pressure to ‘party’ again on NYE.
Smile

wokingpizzaexpress · 31/12/2019 01:31

Indian takeaway, wine, cheese, crackers and music

CrazyCatLady159 · 31/12/2019 01:32

Me and my daughter and flying to Paris for 3 days then off to Disneyland for 2 days Smile can't wait!
Every new year we spend it in another country - it's our little tradition after Christmas

Mypathtriedtokillme · 31/12/2019 01:38

It’s too hot to do anything today.
41 here currently so we are staying inside but went to the park for a picnic breakfast, playground and scootering at 6.30am till 9.40am (by then it was 32)
Local fireworks are cancelled as the fire dangerous too high.
BBQ and Swimming in the pool this evening if it’s cooled down then kids in bed, watering my garden with my washing machine greywater (hose watering ban) and relaxing. (Under the aircon vent!)

Pipandmum · 31/12/2019 01:40

On a long haul flight.

selmabear · 31/12/2019 01:42

Me and DP are going to my mothers and her husband for food, board games and alcohol.

Purpletigers · 31/12/2019 01:43

Our best friends’ house for dinner and board games .

ChristineKeeler · 31/12/2019 01:43

At home with DH and DT's. Going to turn my phone off as will suffer from FOMO if it's on! Don't want to know what everyone else is doing as always feel I should be doing something too but it's rarely that great.

LuluJakey1 · 31/12/2019 01:47

We are going out for late lunch at an Italian restaurant we like. Taking DS1 and DD. DS2 (5m) is going to PIL. We will walk back along the seafront in the cold, collect DS2 on the way and get home about 5. Then we are in for the night. Children in bed by 7.30. We'll have nibbles and drinks and play cards with some music on or watch a film. Some years we have friends or BIL and SIL round but this year is just us, the cats and DC. We'll be in bed by 12 but possibly still awake. We listen to the New Year being chimed in if we are awake.

ConfusedAndStressed95 · 31/12/2019 01:48

My sister is having a games night with the kids so my mother and I are going with some of the boardgames that I was bought for christmas. It's supposed to be fun but I'm mainly going to keep my mother happy as she hates NYE. I was intending to leave and head home before now and spend it in the uni library instead.

TheDogsMother · 31/12/2019 02:15

Into Central London late afternoon/early evening. It will be nice to catch the Christmas lights again, have a wander about and cocktails somewhere. Back mid evening for takeaway, Jools and Champagne. If we make it to midnight then that's a result Grin

LetUsBeElegantOrDie · 31/12/2019 02:20

board games, pjs, party food with primary age DCs and DH and a bit of fizz at the bells. DH has to drive and work on New Year's Day

managedmis · 31/12/2019 02:31

Looks pretty snowy outside far tonight so we'll be out sledging no doubt tomorrow morning. Home for lunch then chill and film or maybe a snowman if the kids fancy it. Hopefully DH will light a fire, wine, bit of dinner then bed before midnight no doubt. Not a huge fan of NYE.

reginafelangee · 31/12/2019 02:34

Traditional Hogmanay

Family, food - steak pie followed by Clootie Dumpling - booze, board games. Watch Only an Excuse and then Fireworks at The Bells.

SallyWD · 31/12/2019 03:05

DH's very rich relative is taking us out to some posh hotel for a 3 course meal, entertainment and dancing. I should be very grateful (well I am) and excited but I'm dreading it! Just want to stay in...

PenguinsOnParade · 31/12/2019 03:10

Staying at home, invited some friends around but I don't think anyone will show. Our closest friends are all away for new year. I'll be glad to see the back of 2019 as we had multiple bereavements and some bad illnesses within close family so I'm hoping at least someone comes round so I don't dwell on things too much. I'm not a huge fan of new year normally.

Topseyt · 31/12/2019 03:19

At home with DH, DD2 (who is 21), a few decent nibbles and some wine.

I really can't be arsed with much else. I'm not a New Year's Eve fan. It's overhyped shit.

loubieloo4 · 31/12/2019 03:20

Staying in, toasting the back of 2019

ilovesooty · 31/12/2019 03:20

Round at friend's house at a small gathering with chilli and games.

WalkAwaySugarbear · 31/12/2019 03:22

Glass of wine by the pool. We're in Orlando and don't fancy facing the crowds at the Disney parks so we are planning on a late night chill out at the villa.

DramaAlpaca · 31/12/2019 03:22

I've no plans. I'm not a party person & will be at home.

Yeahnah2020 · 31/12/2019 05:14

Sitting on the deck drinking bubbles with the family. Very low key.

To ask what are your NYE plans.
Oldfail · 31/12/2019 05:20

Will probably be in bed by 9 but suspect there may be a midnight feed so will wish the baby a happy new year

Betterbegoing · 31/12/2019 05:21

On honeymoon in New Zealand at the moment, and were spending nye drinking in queenstown Grin

Sofast · 31/12/2019 06:31

A little tea party with some friends and all out kids but we'll probably head home at 8 and bed by 9
