I've never liked NYE. I have a few mental and social issues and I always feel pressure to have to do something.

I would give anything to enjoy socialising but I just don't.

What are you all up too x

At neighbors having chili and beer.

SheilaHammond · 30/12/2019 23:45

Takeaway at 7 with DCs. Older two are then out to parties and will sleepover where they are going. I'll be at home with youngest DS 13. We'll play a board game and watch TV. I'll phone my family early evening and be in bed by 1230. Never go out on NYE. Can't be bothered and I don't drink anyway. DH is working overnight as he always is on NYE as neither of us are bothered.

ThighThighOfthigh · 30/12/2019 23:49

Probably walk to the Thames to watch the fireworks 🎆 with the kids.

Titsywoo · 30/12/2019 23:51

Friends house for a party. I usually have a few people here for NYE so it's nice to not have to worry about hosting. Won't stay out late as i dont drink much anymore and I'll be knackered by midnight!

Treaclepie19 · 30/12/2019 23:54

It was meant to be a takeaway curry and champagne but since I'm feeling pretty rubbish, it'll be slimming world pitta pizzas and water 🙈

Merryweather80 · 30/12/2019 23:55

Once again I'm ill, so probably an early night or watch a film on tv in bed with oh. Kids are too young to stay up and will be up with the lark. At 22 weeks pregnant I'm limited anyway. I may do something nice to eat/ nibbles but we usually have a family meal and board games and a walk etc on New Year's Day.
I hope you find something you enjoy to do. Happy new year x

Hellokittymania · 30/12/2019 23:57

I can’t stand fireworks, so at midnight I will be away from them and with headphones on… But during the day, I wanted to go and see the Nutcracker or try and brave winter wonderland… Any thoughts on which may be less crowded? There is a showing of the nutcracker at 12 o’clock… I have special needs and need something easy.

NomDeQwerty · 30/12/2019 23:59

Nytol, earplugs and fingers crossed I sleep through it. Glad to see the back of this decade. I hope by this time next year I'll start seeing light at the end of the tunnel.🤞

coffeeoclock · 31/12/2019 00:01

In an ideal world I'd spend it somewhere else in the world with my DP, maybe a city break somewhere? Have a romantic dinner, drinks & view etc to ring in the new year.

The reality (the past two years at least!) has involved Netflix, cheap wine and saying we should do something special the next year.Grin

Elzbells · 31/12/2019 00:06

Going out at 8 to Miller &Carter for a steak, come home, kids to bed, drink Prosecco.

Moanranger · 31/12/2019 00:07

A local pub puts on a NYE party for a tenner - glass of fizz, finger buffet, rather good dj & decent sized dance floor. We will go 10-12, I am designated driver.
I like to dance

LauraPalmersBodybag · 31/12/2019 00:07

NYE used to be pretty wild. This year however I’ll be bf my 12 wk old DS and eating a Five Guys with DH. I hope to return to form for the odd year in the distant future if I can leave kids with grandparents!

lovepickledlimes · 31/12/2019 00:10

Probably just staying in and playing on the Nintendo Switch or putting together the harry potter lego set I got for Christmas. Not keen on going out and our dog gets upset about the fire works if I am not there.

MotherHeggy · 31/12/2019 00:10

Hot chocolate and either the internet or a book

Jsjeksmne · 31/12/2019 00:12

Hate New Years Blush so nothing

cookiemon666 · 31/12/2019 00:16

Am working new years day, so will be in bed by 11

espressotogo · 31/12/2019 00:27

We have a few friends coming round to us with kids for chilli, hot dogs and burgers. We’ll have music, a quiz, kids will play on the wii or watch a movie and adults will chat and drink. We’re in a village so everyone can walk home after. Next day we’re meeting back here at 11ish for bacon rolls and then we’re off for a long walk 😊

OrangeTwirl · 31/12/2019 00:33

For the first time in years the kids have plans and me and DH can stay home alone...bliss!

Cheese Board, crackers, nice chutney and whatever alcohol is left from Christmas it is then...

DimplesToadfoot · 31/12/2019 00:37

Nothing happening here. Thankfully my recently adopted pooch is very good with fireworks, I intend to keep it that way, so I'll be staying in with her and will probably go up to bed quite early with a book, pooch is always most relaxed sleeping on my bed so I think it's the best place to be.

bananahood · 31/12/2019 00:44

@Cryingoverspilttea Presumably in a novel or my dreams?

Lozz22 · 31/12/2019 00:49

Working till 10pm then I'm gonna go home via the Chinese and order a take away and see new year in watching tv with a glass of Parma violet gin and lemonade. The thought of a very rare take away is what will get me through work in another 6 hours time

avamiah · 31/12/2019 00:53

Lozz22,
Sounds great, enjoy .

NoMoreMarbles · 31/12/2019 01:09

We were planning to go to my sisters for a pyjama party with films and hot chocolate but due to my severe kidney infection I'm staying in with DH and DD feeling sorry for myself doped up on painkillers.

NYE is always an anticlimax imo anyway and I'm well past going out getting pissed so the best I hope for nowadays is a sleepy happy new year from DH and DD as both will be fast asleep by 11pm

JaceLancs · 31/12/2019 01:16

DP and I are off to stay the night with a friend
Will involve food drink and watching tv
Low stress and pleasant company which is what I need

blibblibs · 31/12/2019 01:25

Alarm is set for 7.30am to get to Tesco before it gets too busy. Ice skating and ikea meatballs in the afternoon and then trying to stay awake until midnight because the DC think it's a treat.
Proper rock n roll day here Grin
