Just that really. No bills.

What would you do?

OP posts:
Heymummee · 25/12/2019 16:16

I would learn to drive and buy a little car for myself

Strugglingtodomybest · 25/12/2019 16:16

I'd invest it.

bridgetreilly · 25/12/2019 16:17

I'd add it to my savings and get a new car sometime in the next couple of years.

If I didn't need a new car, then probably having the house re-decorated and/or a holiday.

HavelockVetinari · 25/12/2019 16:18

More IVF

SteelRiver · 25/12/2019 16:20

Pay off debts.

Ciderandskatesdontmix · 25/12/2019 16:20

A once in a lifetime holiday.

ShiveringCoyote · 25/12/2019 16:20

A headstone for my parents grave and maybe a small holiday

Toddlerteaplease · 25/12/2019 16:20

A new kitchen.

SabineUndine · 25/12/2019 16:20

a luxury holiday by train

Biggreen87 · 25/12/2019 16:21

Speech therapy and driving lessons

ShastaBeast · 25/12/2019 16:23

Add to savings - sadly a drop in the ocean for the next step on the house ladder. Although we spent that much on a family holiday for a week - luxury hotel resort in peak season.

Dazedandconfused10 · 25/12/2019 16:24

Either stick it towards a new bathroom or a holiday

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 25/12/2019 16:25

I'd put it into a savings account so I had something to spare over and above having enough. Then I could buy the thing I want instead of only things I need -- like when I drop a mug and break it replace with a nicer mug that costs twice as much, or when the zip on my boots dies afford the boots I covet instead of the ones that will do the job, or get a really good potato ricer with gears instead of just a potato ricer. That sort of thing.

Pipandmum · 25/12/2019 16:27

Ah I was going to say part of my looming tax bill but as you've ruled bills out I think I'd spend it on a trip to Spain with the kids this summer.

Ratbagcatbag · 25/12/2019 16:27

I'd sort the small bathroom out downstairs.

And id do my garden up too. (Needs w lot of work).

Dyrne · 25/12/2019 16:27

Savings, I’m afraid - I’m that sort of boring sod that gains far more enjoyment from knowing I have a nice cushion to fall back on rather than pissing it away. If I had credit card/loan debt it would definitely go on that.

EvaHarknessRose · 25/12/2019 16:28

A skiing holiday Christmas week French Alps.

SilverySurfer · 25/12/2019 16:28

I would probably buy a new 8mph mobility scooter and save the other half.

churchandstate · 25/12/2019 16:31

Vesper. Obviously!

lpchill · 25/12/2019 16:35

A en suite bathroom (tiny one)

kevintheorangecarrot · 25/12/2019 16:35

Put it towards a deposit for a mortgage.

Lumene · 25/12/2019 16:36

Pay off mortgage or save

If that counts as a bill then personal training

WatchingFromTheWings · 25/12/2019 16:40

Tummy tuck.

ChristmasFluff · 25/12/2019 16:40

Sort out my damp-proof course in a oner instead of wall-by-wall

Tonii1985 · 25/12/2019 16:44

Clear my debt. That'd leave about £800 which I'd save and add to. Eventually I'd buy a summer house in the back garden.
