So basically my standpoint is employers essentially pay you before Xmas.

My delightful Sc says this isn't the case, needs money urgently for presents. They do a normal 9-5 job as an apprenticeship.

Would anyone be willing to share if they got paid now please?

Paid on the last day of every month as late as possible every single month.

KatherineJaneway · 25/12/2019 06:59

I get paid on the last working day of the month.

Same here. Last job paid on the 26th of each month so they always paid us on the 23rd December or earlier if the 23rd fell on a weekend.

Some workplaces allow you to ask for part of your wages early in December.

Well I think the debate has been settled, you may have always got paid early, but loads of employers don't pay early in December, so it's not unlikely that your step-child doesn't get paid until after Christmas either.

Hate being paid early. I think it encourages people to splurge their money then think about paying normal bills after Christmas.

I don’t get paid early. Last day of the month regardless.
