I have some last min Xmas wrapping to do which I dread 😩
Pick up veg from Tesco ready for the big day and the turkey/sausage meat from the butchers.
Drop off some presents to extended family whom are not with us this Christmas.
& then to lounge about with my 10month old DD and see how many times we can watch frozen on repeat before DH pulls the last remaining hairs he has left from his head 😁

OP posts:

Am I being unreasonable?

Deep cleaning today followed by dinner at FILs.
Tomorrow the DC are taking part in a nativity, then going to my DM for a Christmas dinner & present swapping with extended family.

Missmonkeypenny · 21/12/2019 12:11

37 1/2 weeks pregnant, poorly and trying to look after a bouncy 5 year old while DH sleeps after a run of night shifts Confused

Stravapalava · 21/12/2019 12:14

Meeting friends today for gift exchange and picnic.

DH & FIL are going to football tomorrow, DC are going to MIL's for the day for spoiling and I'm at work.

Should be a good one!

countdowntochristmas · 21/12/2019 12:23

The plan was to clean house / do washing / wrap presents today food shop tomorrow morning. I've woken up full of a cold today so I'm half hearted cleaning . I'll make some lunch then crack on . I want to clean fridge too . Tonight just relaxing with a Christmas film. Tomorrow food shop then visiting a relative then booked a table for a Christmas meal with family . In work Monday Tuesday so I hope to get everything sorted by tomorrow.

Viewing apartments today, I'm in the process of leaving my emotionally and sexually abusive husband. Hoping to move in January. Can't wait to live in a space he hasn't assaulted me in.

Flying to Ireland tomorrow with the DCs for two weeks.

Cuddling this little munchkin, 3 day old DD and feeling smug that I got everything bought, wrapped and sorted before she arrived for Christmas, including the online food shopping slots Xmas Smile

To ask how everyone is spending their pre Christmas weekend?
Bellasblankexpression · 21/12/2019 13:13

Wowsers @mrssquiz congratulations she’s a beaut. And I’m so impressed. I’m due new year and am feeling so cumbersome and grumpy, and haven’t got the Christmas food or wrapped the presents yet! I’m in awe!

Hearthside · 21/12/2019 13:16

Day off today doing as little as possible then working all day tomorrow. Then maniac shopping Monday and xmas evening before i go to work 🙈.

Bellasblankexpression · 21/12/2019 13:16

@mssquiz sorry

SomewhereInbetween1 · 21/12/2019 13:17

Working, as is DH.

Hearthside · 21/12/2019 13:18

MsSquiz congratulations she is beautiful and shares on of our DC's birthday .Makes Christmas all that much more special with a xmas baby .

Orangesox · 21/12/2019 13:20

Absolutely fuck all Christmas related. I did the vast majority of the food shop at 2300 on Thursday - ASDA was empty, it was glorious. I did all the wrapping yesterday, so today and tomorrow is films, chocolates and snuggling under a blanket before we go collect my mother for her to stay over Christmas.

RoryGillmoresEvilTwin · 21/12/2019 13:23

Today will be spent cleaning, wrapping, playing a board game with ds and a bit of baking (for now, not christmas! ).
Tomorrow I will hopefully finish the food shopping and monday will be popping (hahaha!) Into town to get a couple of last minute bits and having a nice festive coffee somewhere.
I love the run up to christmas!

TheElfFellOffTheShelf · 21/12/2019 13:23

As little as possible! All but one gift bought and wrapped already and the freezer is full. We need stuff for tea tonight and tomorrow though and I have accidentally eaten all the mince pies so I need to go to Home Bargains and Iceland in a bit. Other than that, we're just cleaning & tidying up and winding down for Xmas day.

MsSquiz · 21/12/2019 13:25

@Bellasblankexpression & @Hearthside thank you! I'm just glad she arrived the day before she was due, rather than late - I didn't want to miss my Christmas dinner! Xmas Grin

I was only super organised as we also have 2 nephews & a niece who have December birthdays too, and I am always in full on Christmas fairy mode so I made sure I was well prepared!

ohtheholidays · 21/12/2019 13:46

My DH has taken our youngest DD12 into town so she can buy me a Christmas present from her and they're having a nice lunch out together as well.

I'm binge watching Call the midwife and eating a nice lunch my DH picked me up before he went to town.

Hearthside · 21/12/2019 13:54

MsSquiz you have a busy December then , i admire how organised you are i have done nothing yet 🙈.Our Dc was not due to be an xmas baby but i had severe pre eclampsia so early arrival came home xmas eve just in time for xmas lunch too Grin.

I broke some of my vertebrae in a car accident Tuesday so I am laying flat, like I will be for the next 6 weeks. Xmas Angry
