To think all conservative voters aren't thinking of others?

I realise this doesn't convert anyone and at this point I'm not trying to. But I just don't think anyone who really cares for the welfare of others votes conservative. We know.chikd poverty is highest for 60 years, people are actually dying due to underfunding services (I can link to the research on this if needed). So conservative voters have prioritised brexit and their dislike for Jeremy Corbyn over actually helping others. Whatever way you look at it it wasn't the kind option. Realise I will get flamed for this but it's just how i feel. It's the cruel party and I'm ashamed to be British right now with how everyone voted. Also they had such a dodgy deceitful campaign and as it was rewarded I guess that's the future of politics now :/
I'm not sad labour didn't win, they were never going to. I'm sad at how much conservatives won by as the selfish option that's basically saying it's fine for everything to continue being awful for those struggling.

Because we've discussed the tendency for the word "cunt" or "vile cunt" to appear in a lot of Corbynistas social media.

HeronLanyon · 14/12/2019 21:14

the you ok ? Sounded a bit low/grim.

HeronLanyon · 14/12/2019 21:14

Ok trewser

CharlottesPleb · 14/12/2019 21:18

"Can any Corbynista write anything without using the word "cunt"?"

This in particular makes me want to fly at people, it is uncanny how much the tone and language, the bullying and expectation of compliance of these people reminds me of a domestic abuser.

Wereeaglesdare · 14/12/2019 21:20

You wait and see what your pm and your Britain brings. So far it has only brought division and pain and death. You want to vote in murderers that's on you but atleast let the rest of us mourn respectfully for what could have been without constant fucking gloating like it's some big fun game we play every few years. People are dying children are dying. The sick thing is we weren't voting for ourselves we were voting for everyone from the bottom wrung on the ladder right through to the top.

When your mistake becomes apparent to you we won't gloat we will be crying with you. Some of us won't even be here to shed the tears

Trewser · 14/12/2019 21:23

I honestly worry about some posters mental health.

NewNameForMeNewNameForMe · 14/12/2019 21:24

I agree with you OP. We are pretty comfortably well off currently, but because I am disabled with 2 disabled adult DC, we are a one-income family. I am very aware of what situation I would be in if DH & I split up. Despite having previously paid a fortune in taxes I would be forced to exist on benefits, having to either jump through hoops to prove my disability, while also being a carer for DD. Or most likely I'd be miraculously cured Xmas Hmm & forced to sign on as unemployed & the 3 of us would live in poverty.

I can't support the whole "I'm alright Jack" scenario, which fails so many vulnerable people who are simply incapable of fending for themselves through no fault of their own that Tory supporters like to pretend don't exist! Xmas Angry

@RedWineIsFabulous Is that you Diane??????

ha! Best post on here. GrinGrin
Even funnier than the @Wereeaglesdare post.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 14/12/2019 21:26

I too had a 'fuck it. Why should I care, no one else does moment' and regrettably bought plastic for my kids xmas presents, and vowed never to watch the news again-that makes me sounds like a woke twat that al the stuck up tories are accusing me of being! 😆 but then I wrote JC a message to thank him for his work to help the 'many not the few'.

I think this is the best thing I've ever read on MN. I'm going to have to do a cross stitch sampler with it and then frame it.

Trewser · 14/12/2019 21:29

and regrettably bought plastic for my kids xmas presents

Make sure you do that bit really big.

HeronLanyon · 14/12/2019 21:30

criss stitch sampler that is now classic mn. Well done Chardonnay - you truly jumped the shark.

If I, or others wish to use it, that is our right no, you don't have a right to be abusive.

Gronky · 14/12/2019 21:36

I personally believe the most poisonous misconception in politics is that people who vote differently to you share your beliefs about the various parties but still vote differently or are ignorant of what you take to be true.

If I genuinely believed that a significant number of voters had the attitude that you profess them to have, I would leave the country.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 14/12/2019 21:37

Oh come on Heron, writing a thank you note to JC is cannot be surpassed, shark wise.

Mayorquimby2 · 14/12/2019 21:39

As a non-uk voter and someone who would vote labour if I lived there the attitude of the vocal labour voters (no idea if they're a vocal minority or majority) astounds me.

They assume a monopoly on the truth, on the facts and on good intentions.

How you can't have the nuance to see that while you might disagree with someone they still believe what they are doing is best for the country is astounding to me. I think they're wrong, but I understand that they believe they are doing the right thing.

Yet when labour voters vote in a way that protects they're interests it's for the greater good rather than selfish

You accuse me of abuse?
Cheesemumma you’ve had two posts deleted so you obviously have been abusive.

You accuse me of abuse? I am allowed to give my opinion

You aren't "allowed" to be abusive on here actually, which is why a few of your posts have been deleted.
