AIBU are you getting any christmas bonus this year ?

hi. just wonder if anyone is getting a christmas bonus from the company you work for ? if So ? how much
we are so tight this month and my husband has been told few months ago that this year he would expect a christmas bonus, I have no idea whato to expect , whether it can be a simple £20 or more ??

Did I fuck. I got laid off till end of February. (Zero hours contract)

I got one in lieu of a pay rise and gave it to a small local charity. DH just smiled and rolled his eyes at me, I think he knew it wouldn't go on a christmas blow-out.

We get €500, a few bottles wine plus an art print. And an all expenses paid Christmas ‘do’ with an overnight.

Private sector (natch). It’s an amazing company to work for.

Teacher here so no bonus but we did get the bottles of wine on the table paid for on our night out.

My Christmas bonuses are long gone, my first ever proper job we got a generous bonus, amazing Christmas party and a massive hamper. Kind of spoiled me every job I've had since there hasn't been anything like that, this year's Christmas lunch (we paid for ourselves) was eye wateringly painful I'd have rather donated the £30 and stayed at home 😃

Local government , so don't get anything. Ever.

I'm nhs. I'm the on call manager on Christmas Day and the way flu is developing, my Christmas bonus will be a whole load of hard work.

I got an advent calendar. Great lol

Both work in the private sector. I get what works out to be about £17.50 after tax, OH gets £250. OH also gets an end of tax year bonus of up to 5k!

I'm self employed, so none of my clients need to give me anything, but I often get a little bit extra for my December invoices, or things like Amazon vouchers, which is honestly really nice of them :).

Nope but there have been redundancies recently so def not expecting anything, just lucky to have a job ... for now.

In his contract there may be something about bonus payments. It depends if it's company/individual performance related. I will get £4,000 this year

I live In Ireland and anyone here on social welfare got an extra weeks payment as a bonus at the start of December. My friend is on jobseekers so aswell as her usual €201 weekly payment, she got an extra €201 as a Christmas bonus. Very generous.

I got a €500 bonus which I'm using as spending money for my Christmas trip to New York...

I am getting carers allowance and hence I .getting a bonus. a whopping £10!!!

haven't decided how to treat us. probably putting the heating on a little bit more for a couple of days. the UK government really looks after the disabled and their carers, doesn't it???

Also public sector so no, nothing.

I normally get a bottle of Baileys and my DH got 33k.

DH and I are also public sector workers so a big fat zero bonus.

I work in the charity sector. Only got a bonus once and the charity was one of the UKs biggest which is why - it was about £200.

Social worker so nothing.

Am expecting a sickness disciplinary as my end of year bonus - I've got endo and just been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis on Friday, so had two days off last week. Thirds instance of sickness so joy to the world and all that.

Public sector so no, my boss will buy me a drink on the Christmas night out if I'm lucky.

The worst bonus was ten pound notes we were given that where actually novelty toilet paper looking like money!!! We work hard for peanuts like alot of us do so that was a proper insult and we even thought someone pranked us but no it was for real. lucky I dont work there anymore and the company is going down the drain and lots of employees are leaving all the time too.
