Yes, about 25% of my salary (I am a lawyer).

tillytrotter1 · 22/12/2019 16:57

Public sector get nothing, no bonuses, nights out paid for or subsidised by the company, not even a glass of warm cheap wine in the staffroom that they haven't paid for themselves.

katy1213 · 22/12/2019 17:06

You're joking - they've never even sent a Christmas card.

Bargebill19 · 22/12/2019 17:06

No bonus. No party. Nothing free. Do get to work all Christmas and new year for min wage.

Stinkycatbreath · 22/12/2019 17:07

Public sector worker....sweet F A.

megletthesecond · 22/12/2019 17:11

I've never had an Xmas bonus in either pivate, local government or charity sectors.

When I was in retail we did get a free Xmas meal out though.

thismeansnothing · 22/12/2019 17:12

Nope.

Did get my letter regarding redundancy consultation process though.

Merry Christmas to us

Lou0390 · 22/12/2019 17:14

Work for a small charity, we get £10 towards a Christmas meal.
I am so happy though that my regional manager was handed a bonus, yippee Hmm

Blowandgo · 22/12/2019 17:15

Nothing in my company. Not a christmas party, not a lunch, not a bonus. Never has been. Sickens me cos every other company I worked for gave a bonus and a party. I work for misers though.

Heismyopendoor · 22/12/2019 17:15

I got the £250 supplement from carers allowance, Scotland. My husband doesn’t get anything from his work.

buttonup26 · 22/12/2019 17:26

No - I work for the NHS. However a lot of our regular patients give us chocolates/biscuits and they usually the people who are struggling financially so it means a lot to us.

bigbubbles · 22/12/2019 17:33

noworklifebalance He works in a bank.

What bank pays bonuses at Christmas?
Banks bonus month is pretty standard across the sector and it isn't December.

nutcrackersweet · 22/12/2019 17:53

I don't get anything. Private sector, will be getting Christmas Day and Boxing Day off though.

ExtraOnions · 22/12/2019 17:57

I work in the public sector (civil service) and got £150 performance bonus in my Christmas Wage

slavetothemoney · 22/12/2019 18:12

DH gets £3k, but not til January's pay.

BloodyCats · 22/12/2019 18:15

I’m a cleaner so self employed. I got around 2 weeks wages in bonus cash from my clients. I’ve only been doing it around 6 months so it was a nice surprise!

LorKell · 22/12/2019 18:17

NHS - office based. No Xmas bonus. Not even allowed to leave early Xmas eve.

Chickoletta · 22/12/2019 18:20

DH is a company director and gets bonuses as part of his salary. It’s spread throughout the year but I’m desperately hoping one is coming in Dec as we’re skint.

DowntonCrabby · 22/12/2019 18:24

DH will get his in Jan, around £800, we’ll also attend his work ball, fancy dinner, free bar etc.

I was very grateful to receive a bottle of gin from my employer! Xmas Grin

ym10146 · 22/12/2019 18:38

I don't get one and don't know anybody that does. I never though about one really. Any kind of bonus would be lovely Smile

giggly · 22/12/2019 18:42

NHS not even a fucking mince pie. But I’ll keep you alive so that’s all that matters 🙄

Mintjulia · 22/12/2019 18:44

Don’t know yet. The financial year ends on the 31st, we’re close but too soon to say

CareOfPunts · 22/12/2019 18:47

No but we had an all expenses paid party, Christmas lunch, and lots of nice gifts.

SuperMeerkat · 22/12/2019 18:49

😂😂😂😂😂 @LidiaM Oh OP, you could go into stand up comedy! 11 years NHS here and not even a sniff of a bonus. A cream cake if i’m lucky.

Fr0g · 22/12/2019 18:51

@SexlessBoulderBelly

do check out the legal position on bonus payments during mat leave.

One site below, but do have a good google if you don't reveive anything and others do.
