To think it’s utterly disgraceful that Corbyn hasn’t resigned

The man is the reason the Labour Party didn’t stand a chance in the GE

Yet today he doesn’t even have the good grace or integrity to step aside

Is their anyone at all who supports him in that decision?

Spot on Blue Stocking
Media propaganda had a huge role to play in the election result. And that ultimately is what the people should be fearful of... any future leader, be it Tory, Labour, Lib Dem will need to work hand in hand with media and ultimately dance to whatever tune their backers are playing. The whole system is rotten to the core.
But ho hum, Brexit will get done now apparently so all’s well Hmm

noblegiraffe · 13/12/2019 20:14

Corbyn is still the leader, and he doesn’t have to resign until he’s ready.

And you wonder why people didn’t vote for him. What a dick.

churchandstate · 13/12/2019 20:15

noblegiraffe

I don’t wonder. I know why people didn’t vote for him.

SeaWitchly · 13/12/2019 20:15

And he is GloGirl
So back off.

JasonPollack · 13/12/2019 20:16

Bet you're not even a Labour voter.

noblegiraffe · 13/12/2019 20:17

I know why people didn’t vote for him.

I dunno, you’re coming across like someone who might blame Brexit or the biased media or anything other than Corbyn himself.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 13/12/2019 20:18

Back off Hmm no too many people want the Labour Party to be a decent party again they are proud to be member of and vote for

maybe Corbyn should have been telling that to party activists who hounded out Labour MP’s with their nasty anti semitism

Instead he turned a blind eye or arranged to chat with them later

tilder · 13/12/2019 20:19

That's really interesting Jillyhilly. Its all over this thread too.

Not sure how badly he would need to do for the scales to fall.

Bearbehind · 13/12/2019 20:19

If you don’t like it, tough tittie. I didn’t like waking up this morning to Boris Johnson’s smug face, but I had to live through it.

Has it really not sunk in yet that the reason you had to wake up to BJs smug face is entirely JCs fault?

ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether · 13/12/2019 20:19

The anti semitism was made up.

You get the government you deserve.

BelleSausage · 13/12/2019 20:20

@EnthusiasmIsDisturbed

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This 100%

You should be in charge of the next Labour leadership campaign.

ArseDarkly · 13/12/2019 20:20

Bet you're not even a Labour voter.

Tory voter and apparently that was Corbyn's fault as well.

Michelleoftheresistance · 13/12/2019 20:21

He should have resigned in the early hours of this morning when it became apparent he'd led the party to such an appalling failure. The best thing he could do for the Labour party now is walk right away from it, but he won't. He will cling on and cling on.

Hopefully he will drive the party to split and we may finally get a socialist party that actually is in touch with reality and the electorate and is electable.

Bearbehind · 13/12/2019 20:21

Media propaganda had a huge role to play in the election result

Did it buggery.

I know it suits the losing sides narrative to believe that but it’s utter nonsense.

The reality is, anyone with half a brain could see Labours free for all didn’t add up.

They went so over the top it became a farce

OP posts:
CendrillonSings · 13/12/2019 20:21

Jesus Christ - this denial of reality is why Labour went down to its worst defeat since 1935 last night!

churchandstate · 13/12/2019 20:21

I dunno, you’re coming across like someone who might blame Brexit or the biased media or anything other than Corbyn himself

They’re all factors.

Trewser · 13/12/2019 20:21

I am really angry with Corbyn. I can't wait for him to go.

ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether · 13/12/2019 20:21

What absolute bullshit.

People had the choice. They had an alternative to vote for. But it would have involved a bit of courage, to try something different, and it would have required some thought to learn about how economics works. But this is Britain. A country that has always defended its traditional class system, and now values appearances over substance, feelings over reality. You chose. Live with it and take some responsibility for your own choice.

kinsss · 13/12/2019 20:22

Corbyn is staying on to influence the selection of his successor.

But then again he may resign before that. Doubt it though. Ego wins. Same as Johnson. But he played it clever, much as I detest him.

So there we are. A LP in freefall, with a failed leader still in place to dictate the terms. Very nice.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 13/12/2019 20:22

I think he should wait until there is a credible successor. The last thing we need is a rushed leadership contest with any old person landing the job. What's the rush now? Better to make sure the very best person for the job is chosen.

BelleSausage · 13/12/2019 20:22

This is like Momentum bingo:

So far the blame is on-

  • the media
  • non- Corbyn Labour voters
  • the electorate
  • those Jews for making a fuss about nothing.

HILARIOUS

churchandstate · 13/12/2019 20:22

I don’t know what you mean by his “fault”. I agree with his manifesto, so if it’s his fault, it’s also mine.

Babybel90 · 13/12/2019 20:23

Reading some of the replies on here is so sad, what will it take to get through to the die hard Labour fans that he is unelectable, people do not like him so much that they voted for Boris fucking Johnson, do you really think that the majority of people wanted Boris as leader? We didn’t, but we wanted Corbyn less.

Not only should he have resigned today he should have accepted responsibility and stopped trying to blame it on Brexit when EVERYONE knows it was down to him, and he should have apologised to the MPs who lost their seats.

We need an effective opposition, Brexit is going to happen soon so he should resign today and they can appoint a caretaker leader while there is a leadership contest.

Bearbehind · 13/12/2019 20:23

Tory voter and apparently that was Corbyn's fault as well.

No arse I entirely credit my Tory vote to the narrow minded, cult like behaviour of you and your fellow Westminsterender cronies.

It was seeing how polarised you all are that made me realise ‘just getting on with it’ is the only answer.

OP posts:
noblegiraffe · 13/12/2019 20:24

The last thing we need is a rushed leadership contest which is why an interim leader would be appointed.

Bloody hell who are these ‘My First Election’ posters?
