Think you're right** rufus

amd4578 · 14/12/2019 13:13

The frustrating thing which is very common between the people of voted remain and Labour voters is that they all hope as a country that we fail now.. They hope Boris screws the country up and hope things go back when we are out of the EU purely so then in a few years they can say.. Oh I told you it would be shit.

If you are really all about the many not the few surely you would at least hope that Boris does well and we succeed away from the EU, instead of just saying how awful you think things are going to be.

It's pathetic the people that say I hope the people that voted this way really suffer.. The very people that claimed they are worried about the elderly and the poor are now wishing them to suffer just because they didn't vote Labour?

Also what is with the protest and all the "not my priminister" shit.. He is the priminister now so just get on with it. sitting there moaning about it won't change the result. Now go out and enjoy Christmas.. Tis the season to be jolly not moping around because of politics!

Befor you think I'm a tory as well I actually voted Green as I don't like either of them but I will not let the result depress me!

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:17

No one hopes the country is worse off.

But 9 years of austerity shows and doubled debt shows that it IS WORSE OFF. So why would that change. Be realistic.

CharlottesPleb · 14/12/2019 13:18

I nail my flag to the mast. I hate fucking racist cunts and anyone who supports fucking racist cunts

Yes, somehow the idea of "fucking racist cunts" comes into it, and it describes most British people.

I expect even if you violently fought against democracy you'd be doing the right thing wouldn't you? "I'm not evil, I just a stand-up hero who must reluctantly hurt fucking racist cunts".

Democracy is a complex and imperfect thing. Can I point out that everything the Nazi party did was Democratic and legal.

Only if I can point out that a) the nazis believed democracy to be flawed and decadent, and b) both the UK and US democracies had protections against the things Germany did wrong before the nazis even existed.

ReanimatedSGB · 14/12/2019 13:20

It's extremely difficult to believe or even hope that Fucko the Clown is going to get a 'good' deal for the UK as he a) has been proven to be a liar time and time again and b) no good deal exists. Brexit was never going to be anything other than catastrophically damaging. But Fucko and his gang (whose enthusiasm for leaving the EU is roughly divided between being able to dodge their taxes and being able to rip up every piece of legislation that was meant to stop them exploiting 'ordinary' people) are happy to come up with any old bullshit they think the electorate might swallow. As things get worse, they will probably up the pressure on 'benefit scroungers' and 'immigrants' even more, probably encouraging The People to inform on and harass their neighbours because it's all the fault of 'them', the people who are Not Like You...

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:20

Charlotte'spleb. Are you on something? You dont even make sense. Its just rabid ramblings.

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:21

No one mentioned violence, but you. What's this opposition to democracy you're on about. You sound mental.

ReanimatedSGB · 14/12/2019 13:22

Charlotte, what happened to our protections against Nazism, then? How come we've got Nazis in power both here and in the US? You do know, don't you, that Fucko is actively engaged in getting rid of any means of holding him to account or limiting his power, and Trump has been doing the same thing...

MangoStone · 14/12/2019 13:25

@amd4578
If I want to say he's not my priminister I'll say he's not my priminister thank you very much.
He's not my priminister.

FrostythefeckinSnowman · 14/12/2019 13:26

Lol at Scotland not being wealthy. Wink
You do realise a large majority of the financial brains in Westminster are Scottish.
But keep reading the Brexit papers in ignorance whilst Scotland will leaves the Union (hurrah), and joins the EU. Grin

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:28

Charlotte. With all due respect. If we end up in a neo-nazi state on the back of these fuckwits in power and had to defend myself or my family by whatever means, too right I fucking would. Wouldnt you? We fought against nazi Germany. Millions of lives lost. What was the alternative though?

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 14/12/2019 13:30

charlotte

Im honestly not getting it...

What do you mean by opposing democracy, how does one go about opposing democracy

PhilSwagielka · 14/12/2019 13:35

Even if they do kick Lennon out, it's still disturbing that the Tories attract people like that.

No, I'm not saying all Tories are far right nutjobs, in the same way that not all Labour voters are conspiracy theories. But the fact people like Hopkins and Lennon see the Tories as 'their' party is not a good thing. And I genuinely wonder if most people in Britain agree with them.

CharlottesPleb · 14/12/2019 13:35

"What's this opposition to democracy"

This is one of the things that has motivated 4th generation Labour voters to come out against them.

Another one is concern about a Corbyn government.

People have come out to protect the vote, and the country from Momentum rule. These are just a couple of the concepts that occupy the vast, vast gulf between "everyone turned into racists who hate benefit scroungers" and the reality of the thing.

That was my point before people started throwing around nice words like "cunt". These are the big topics of hundreds of political conversations I have had over the last year with friends, family and colleague alike.

They may seem novel or unusual to a certain type of lefty because let's be honest as soon as they enter the conversation a few knowing glances are exchanged and the topic changes to the weather or hilariously boasting about how much we all hate the tories as much as them Grin

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:35

To be honest I dont understand any of Charlotte's posts. I can't make sense of the thought process.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 14/12/2019 13:37

So you dont know what ‘opposing democracy’ means either charlotte No examples...

Gotcha

That ok I’ll assume ive not opposed it

amd4578 · 14/12/2019 13:38

But he is your priminister that's the issue.. How can you compare the last 9 years to now he has been in charge 5 months and not been able to work on anything but brexit because of labour etc trying to block it at every opportunity. Then he has a photo of a boy on the floor in hospital shoved in his fave and somehow that was his fault even tho he has only been in charge 5 months?

It would be like me saying corbyn will start an illegal war just because Tony Blair did all those years ago.

Let's also not forget that the reason many of these cuts had to start being made years ago was due to labour.. I'm not personally blaming corbyn for that tho like most on here do with Boris about tory issues from years ago.

80sMum · 14/12/2019 13:40

I accept that there’s a thumping Conservative majority and that gives Johnson the mandate to deliver the things in his manifesto

I will never accept Brexit and will fight to ensure the Conservative Party are the ones held responsible for the outcome of us leaving the EU

I would support a campaign to rejoin the EU once we have left, even though the terms will be nowhere near as good as the current arrangements

^^This!!

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:41

This is one of the things that has motivated 4th generation Labour voters to come out against them.

Eh? Against who? Sorry, I don't understand what you are talking about. Are you saying traditional labour voters voting against labour is opposing democracy?

You might have had conversations with family and friends over a year or whatever. But now you have to convey your conclusions online, using text and proper sentences.

Oh and if someone proves to be a racist cunt, I will gladly call them a cunt. Unless you've suffered racism, you can't really comment.

amd4578 · 14/12/2019 13:43

He has already come out and said he understands that some of these constituencies may have only leant the tories their vote. So he now has to go out and prove to them that he made the right decision.

Fine in a year or so come back and moan if its gone tits up but at least give it a chance he has to give these working class people a reason to re-elect him in 4-5 year just let him have a chance to do it.!

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:45

And who is changing topics to the weather? What certain type of lefty? Stop speaking in riddles and articulate, for fuck sake. Is this just another attempt at deflection which is typical amongst right whingers?

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:46

amd - no one is stiooong him doing his job. Despite recent protests in London. No one CAN stop him. We can call him out on his words and actions, past and present though. We dont have to remain in silence for a year. That's freedom of speech. Wonderful isn't it?

Soen · 14/12/2019 13:47

Stopping**

pointythings · 14/12/2019 13:49

Of course I accept the result of this election. It's been an eye opener though, and it will accelerate my plans to leave the country that's been home for 22 years. Fortunately I have a permanent red passport.

amd4578 · 14/12/2019 13:52

Yes freedom of speech is wonderful. as is democracy which the people in these protest clearly only believe in when it goes their way.

Why pull him up on things from his past when he was not PM tho? Whenever someone mentions about anything from Corbyn past people act like it's not a big deal!
