Dear English people,
WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE!
regards,
The Rest of the UK
RIP NHS

Dongdingdong · 12/12/2019 23:46

At least the Brexit party arent predicted to win any seats?

I don’t think anyone expected them to.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 12/12/2019 23:46

There is mismanagemnt, management issues, procurement issues. Money wasted everywhere. Millions wasted on IT solutions that are scapped - bloody appalling. Just fix the root causes first before you chuck more and more money at it.

This! I work in the NHS and its an eye opener how badly mismanaged it is. And I'm only a Receptionist but I've seen the waste.

NickelADimeCandy · 12/12/2019 23:47

Let's have this lovely private/I surance/US style health care instead

Utter tosh.

overnightangel · 12/12/2019 23:47

Selfishness in saving a few quid to send Tarquinius to Harrow wins over compassion for other people’s survival.
If you voted Tory you voted for zero hours contracts, landlord extortion, less police officers&nurses, universal credit, less social housing and thinking foodbanks are a good idea. You have blood on your hands.

fromdownwest · 12/12/2019 23:48

@bakabakabeyond - Ok to vote of an antisemitic man then?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/12/2019 23:49

Seems the exit poll got it spot on in Blyth Valley; it's shocking that Labour's lost a seat held since the 1950s, and as for the 19% swing against them in Sunderland ...

Anyway, exit polls aren't always exact, but this one would have to be spectacularly wrong to avoid one of Labour's worst ever disasters. Hopefully the penny will finally drop and they'll turn themselves back into something worth voting for

cyclingmad · 12/12/2019 23:49

TaliZorahVasNormandy

Same. Its so disgusting how much is wasted, its almost a good think the Tories don't bow down to pressure to keep pouring money into it. You wouldn't run your household finances like that.

Inliverpool1 · 12/12/2019 23:50

People get the politicans they deserve. If this is what you want Britain you can repent at your leisure.

nauticant · 12/12/2019 23:50

I would have preferred a different result. But that would have required Labour and the Lib Dems to offer something appealing. They didn't.

The fault isn't that people chose to vote Tory, it's that they weren't offered something better.

augustusglupe · 12/12/2019 23:53

Hope so

AlexaAmbidextra · 12/12/2019 23:54

By voting against something (opposition) you are voting in support of something else. In this case those who voted Tories as a protest against labour, have also voted in support of all of tory policies, their leader and the past 9 years of government.

No shit Sherlock. Thank God you explained this for us.

Cuteypye · 12/12/2019 23:54

All the Labour supporters, who keep saying it is only the “well off” who vote Conservative, are wrong. It is those who love their Country and don’t want it being destroyed by Labour policies, amongst other things, that vote Conservative. The Conservatives’ are the only sensible choice (despite Boris Johnson) for most people with a brain.

No, I’m not “well off.” I’m actually disabled and on (paltry) benefits. I, until recently, was employed by the NHS. Maybe voting Labour would be better for me, but it wouldn’t be for my children and grandchildren!

CurlyhairedAssassin · 12/12/2019 23:56

can I just ask, how exactly is our economy booming under the Tories? For the ordinary man and woman in the street - HOW? where are the stable, permanent contract jobs? Not many jobs going round here that would pay enough rent - housing isn’t affordable, thanks, Maggie. That was another Tory legacy. Many people living here earn their salary by working in the city’s hospitals. Doesn’t look good for them. Not much disposable income left st the end of the month for them to put back into the economy.

Show me round these profitable retail companies of ours? Austerity does not work in an economy like ours because ultimately it relies on the ordinary man and woman in the street having enough money in their pocket to buy goods and services ensuring that their money goes back into the economy.m to grow it.

How exactly IS our economy booming under the Tories???

shinynewapplesonachristmastree · 12/12/2019 23:57

@CurlyhairedAssassin no evidence - just musing on why Tories continue to do so well. I did start my post with 'I think'!

AlexaAmbidextra · 12/12/2019 23:58

See the calls of scum have appeared 🙄

So very predictable. Typical left. All for democracy until it doesn’t go their way then the dummies get spat out.

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 12/12/2019 23:59

All this RIP NHS

I work for the NHS and as I've said before. Most of my colleagues voted Tory and are chuffed with the early indications.

JeffreyJefferson · 13/12/2019 00:01

We are moving to Canada. We were already discussing it but this has decided it for us.

JeffreyJefferson · 13/12/2019 00:02

imagine voting for Boris you absolute clowns

Fuck are exit polls always right?
leckford · 13/12/2019 00:03

Corbyn and the nasty McDonell who won’t admit his manifesto was the problem

Spacebowlisback · 13/12/2019 00:03

This.

Fuck are exit polls always right?
Thestinkycheeseman · 13/12/2019 00:05

Not one of the elite just one of the majority

Defenbaker · 13/12/2019 00:07

I hope the exit poll is correct, as a tory majority will be able to progress Brexit (hopefully with a reasonable deal), then maybe other things can get done too.

Bojo is far from perfect, but at least he has a positive attitude, and he has some bright people around him to negotiate a trade deal. Brexit will still be a hard slog, but a hung parliament would have us in limbo for years, and that uncertainty would be awful for everyone. The pound is already looking stronger, just based on the exit polls, so that shows that the business world is already feeling more positive about the UK.

I'm not a die hard tory, but I do not believe that Corbyn's ideas are either practical or affordable. Lib dems would reverse Brexit, given the chance, so as a leave voter they would never get my vote. So, despite Bojo's (many) flaws, I hope for a tory majority, and that Bojo will take advice from the brighter members of his team, who have a better eye for detail.

shinynewapplesonachristmastree · 13/12/2019 00:07

Note my response to curly haired assassin was to a previous question not the one immediately before my post

Breathlessness · 13/12/2019 00:08

That’s true Spacebowlisback.
