If so, how long do you think you will last before your eyelids droop and you nod off?

I reckon I can last until about 3ish.

You never see tories calling labour voters cunts do you? Yet I see it all over my FB and on here. So distasteful

It's a democracy. Accept that people have overwhelmingly voted in a different way to you and that's what the majority of the UK want. Facts are facts

I'm moderate really. If this was reversed, I'd feel fine too. I believe in a majority vote.

manicinsomniac · 12/12/2019 22:12

That internet echo chamber thing must be strong. I'm shocked. It seems like 95% of people I know are Labour, Lib Dem or Green. Maybe that's the problem. A 3 way split of the remain vote (5 way with nationalist parties)

SilverySurfer · 12/12/2019 22:12

What is it going to take for the Labour party to understand that the people of this country have zero interest in becoming a communist state under Corbyn and Momentum? I wonder how the figures would have looked with a more moderate leader?

Who ARE these people?

BloomedAgain · 12/12/2019 22:12

I'm facing longterm medical treatment too Akire. So sorry Flowers

SeaViewBliss · 12/12/2019 22:13

But I'm not saying which party - I was hoping this could be a political party free zone

@SilverySurfer I see you’ve changed your mind in light of the exit poll!

Skyejuly · 12/12/2019 22:13

I wouldn't say all tory voters are intelligent, of the few I know, I would say they are stabbing themselves in the foot.

manicinsomniac · 12/12/2019 22:14

I hope Newcastle are accurate and allowed everyone to vote - first bag of votes in at 38 seconds past 10 - what time did they close the polling station then?!

LucyLocketss · 12/12/2019 22:14

@SilverySurfer I voted for Tony Blair back in the day. He convinced me. I was a labour voter for years.

Jeremy Corbyn and his party just don't convince me that they could run a bath let alone the country

Kuponut · 12/12/2019 22:14

Word from Sunderland earlier in the week was that they were expecting to lose MPs there. I've been expecting doom since I heard that but was praying for a hung parliament to control the lunacy.

My kid gets 5 minutes of support time a week in school. That was already looking dicey.

SJaneS48 · 12/12/2019 22:15

Even when you’re expecting to be depressed , f*ck! I don’t think I’m going to sit this one out after all!

DoTheHop · 12/12/2019 22:15

Corbyn has to go.

Akire · 12/12/2019 22:15

They close at 10 so voting must have been in another part of the building or on the same street for 32 seconds to be achieved.

OwlinaTree · 12/12/2019 22:15

Maybe one station is at the counting office.

M0reGinPlease · 12/12/2019 22:16

Nope. Can't bear it.

Was all set for al all-night nail biter but it's too depressing already.

OwlinaTree · 12/12/2019 22:17

If this is right JCs going to be out on his ear.

spacepyramid · 12/12/2019 22:17

there are around 50k of polling stations, only 27 thousand people at 144 polling station were asked how they voted.

slipperywhensparticus · 12/12/2019 22:17

Well as someone with long term health issues with a kid on disability I'm screwed

Kuponut · 12/12/2019 22:17

As for how they get the votes in so fast. Sunderland in particular is geographically very small, the nearest polling stations to the count would only take 5 minutes in normal traffic - with council vans sat waiting outside engines on for 10pm and traffic signals adjusted to get vans through faster... That's how.

I used to poll clerk there when they started doing the declaration speed thing in earnest

OwlinaTree · 12/12/2019 22:18

Do we know the turnout yet?

Writersblock2 · 12/12/2019 22:18

Happy with the exit polls. One if the unexpected side effects of being a Tory voter in this election is you very quickly find out who in your life is capable of acting like an adult towards you when they find out you vote a different way to them.

Skyejuly · 12/12/2019 22:18

I'm going to have to hide my phone. So depressing. Over worked tomorrow too in frontline nhs while the rich line their own pockets and we get a no deal brexit and lose the nhs. Wonderful.

SilverySurfer · 12/12/2019 22:18

SeaViewBliss I know but it's difficult to not say anything when others are having a go. I was obviously asking for the impossible.

Just read up about the exit polls, not good, leave the EU, break up the union, private Healthcare.

Kyvia · 12/12/2019 22:19

McDonnell is gutted - almost feel sorry for him
