Just interested as I've been really debating with myself this year and am not really convinced by any party

I'll be voting Labour. No, they are not perfect. However, poverty and inequality are massive issues in our society.. Tory ideology worsens this, it can't be denied. I'm tired and about to go to bed so haven't the time to go in detail but this quote from an Indian philosopher sums it up for me.

"it is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society"

We are led to believe that by the Tory propoganda that we have a buoyant and healthy economy and that Britain's potential will be unleashed once 'brexit is done'

Debt has increased, austerity has been nothing and people have died and are dying still as a result of these policies.

We do not have a healthy society when there is such disparity in outcomes and inequality. When we have children who are starving and ever increasing numbers of people die on the streets. Just read the stats, read the Joseph Rowntree reports.

Again...

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

Labour (as much as it pains me), as a tactical vote to stop the SNP from getting the seat in my constituency.

Needthesunshine · 11/12/2019 23:10

Conservative as they are most likely to beat SNP in my area.

chocolatespiders · 11/12/2019 23:11

Labour due to Tory killing people in poverty. I just cant bear to see how unfair it is for some people. The inequality is heartbreaking.
I also work for the NHS (19 years) and would like to continue to do so for many more years.

HeronLanyon · 11/12/2019 23:11

Can’t believe standard headline of an hour ago ‘Tory lead shrinks to 5 points. Result too close to call’ tomorrow looks to be dramatic. Come on !

Lonesome54321 · 11/12/2019 23:12

I'll be voting for the Conservatives

cricketballs3 · 11/12/2019 23:14

I'm a teacher and have a DS with ASD and LD....no way on this planet would I ever think of voting for the Conservatives (despite my constituency being very blue).

I used to be Lib Dem, but voted Labour this time

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 11/12/2019 23:18

Labour

  • I don't want our NHS sold off, and I think Labour are the ones to most likely ensure this doesn't happen

  • I recognise that we voted to Leave, and I can see why people want to vote Cons to "Get Brexit Done" but do we really want to do it with no deal at all?
I'd rather there was some form of plan in place.

  • I've heard people say "well the NHS hasn't been sold off yet, why would they suddenly now?"
Um...... because we've been in the EU and we haven't been able to make completely free trade deals with the US before but we will if we leave so anything's game?!
(Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm definitely not the font of all knowledge and I'm learning all the time lol)

I care about the sick and homeless who can;t for whatever reason work even if they want to.

I'm voting Labour.

tactical-vote.uk/

For those wondering how to tactically vote

Snowy111 · 11/12/2019 23:21

Heron I even think BJ/ Cummings have somehow manufactured the “close” poll to stop Tory voters being complacent Hmm

AgnesNaismith · 11/12/2019 23:21

There is no way in hell I could ever vote Labour with Corbyn as leader, regardless of my local candidate....who I haven’t seen much of.

I’d vote Lib Dems if it weren’t for their stance on self id.

I don’t want brexit.......

Penis on the paper it is.

Tillygetsit · 11/12/2019 23:22

Labour without a shadow of a doubt. I'm terrified of a Tory majority and years more of racist, xenophobic and immoral rubbish.

Labour. It's an anti-tory vote.

I don't like any of the parties at the moment but I like the tories the least. If I can't vote for something I want and can vote against something I really don't want.

There isn't going to be a Labour government. It's either tory or hung parliament. It's rather have another hung parliament.

CharlottesPleb · 11/12/2019 23:34

The parties are all rubbish in their own special ways.

I used to be a Labour voter but not any more.

Politically I don't really have anyone representative of my views now. For various reasons I think I'm going to have to vote Conservative.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 11/12/2019 23:36

Penis on the paper it is

Grin Jeez, sounds like something a 5 year old would do lol hoping it's just tone not coming across on internet but with previous comment I'm assuming sadly not
CharlottesPleb · 11/12/2019 23:39

I don't know about you but I'm sick of, election after election, feeling like I have to vote against something. This is the down side of fptp.

Kittygirl47 · 11/12/2019 23:47

Tory because Labour are full of shit and lies.

To ask who you are voting for and why?
Halleli · 11/12/2019 23:51

Lib Dem. I’m proud I get to vote for Luciana Berger. Wouldn’t touch either the Tories or Labour with a barge pole at the moment - they’re both led by and filled with fucking racists.

ladylunchalot · 11/12/2019 23:55

SNP, no contest. Tories and Labour are at extremes of each other and I dislike both. SNP has done far more for Scotland than any other party and genuinely seem to have the country's interests at heart.
I'm in a marginal seat so it will be interesting. My area was Labour for years and then it's swung to SNP - standing joke was you could put a monkey in a suit and stick a Labour badge on it and people would still vote.......nice to see people's eyes have finally been opened.

Fruitbatdancer · 12/12/2019 00:04

ABC - anyone but Corbyn. Which in this area means vote blue.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 12/12/2019 00:12

@Fruitbatdancer
ABC - anyone but Corbyn

I don't get this. You're voting for the party, not the leader. Did anyone vote in Boris Johnson? Or Theresa May?
It's a get what you're given once they're elected.
Go for the policies and treatment of ordinary on the street people not whether you like the leader.

Alte · 12/12/2019 01:02

Plaid Cymru all the way. Labour and Conservative are both crap, especially in my area. Our Plaid MP is the best by a long way, and it's what my kids said they wanted as well.

Actionhasmagic · 12/12/2019 01:14

Labour because I hate seeing food banks and want to save the nhs

Actionhasmagic · 12/12/2019 01:15

So many of you on here will grow old and sick and will regret voting Tory
