Just interested as I've been really debating with myself this year and am not really convinced by any party

I honestly still don't know who I'm voting for. I don't want to vote Tory for obvious reasons but can't see Jeremy Corbyn running the country either. I 've worked in the NHS for 30 years and it's been thoroughly hard during both Tory and labour leadership. Just been stuck on an NHS hospital ward with my son all of last weekend and the care on one ward was shocking, the system is overwhelmed and I fear for the future as I get older.

scaryteacher · 11/12/2019 19:31

Dramaticpenguin
Defence, security, possible restriction of Five Eyes access, Corbyn's stance on NATO, don't agree with renationalisation (and it's not allowed under the EU, so he can't do it anyway), Brexit, to name but a few reasons why I am voting Tory.

littlealexhorne · 11/12/2019 19:32

Labour (but live in an eternal Tory stronghold). I care about our NHS, about the thousands of children living in poverty, about the millions in need of social care they aren't receiving. I also really like Corbyn, and I'm a remainer.

I considered Lib Dems but they won't get into power except for a coalition (and I wouldn't trust them not to go into another with the Tories), I strongly dislike Jo Swinson's voting record and I don't agree with decriminalising drugs.

The amount of lies and smears being spread around by the Tories is disgusting, and its all the more terrifying how many people are believing them.

TheBlueStocking · 11/12/2019 19:33

Labour, because I'm not a cunt.

GenderfreeJoe · 11/12/2019 19:36

Labour. I did consider voting lib Dems but ruled that out when I discovered their wish to push forward trans ideology, which puts women and children at risk.

scaryteacher · 11/12/2019 19:37

How erudite Bluestocking and how virtue signalling and dismissive of any other political stance, in very few words.

TheBlueStocking · 11/12/2019 19:38

@scaryteacher

Got it in one. Try sleeping outside on the street for one night in December and then you'll realise that only a cunt wouldn't vote for Labour.

KnifeAngel · 11/12/2019 19:40

Labour. The conservatives only do anything for the rich. This country is on its knees from their policies.

alwayscauseastir · 11/12/2019 19:42

As much as it pains me to vote for Corbyn, I'll be voting labour. My grandad is an ex labour councillor and has spent many years pounding the streets campaigning. We are working class and I believe labour is best for us. I really hope that Dan Jarvis works his way through the ranks and is our future PM.

Boshmama · 11/12/2019 19:43

Lib Dems

Moomin12345 · 11/12/2019 19:47

Labour, because they're the lesser evil. BJ is pure privileged opportunistic lying evil.

scaryteacher · 11/12/2019 19:48

I seem to remember the meths drinkers sleeping rough in Plymouth when Labour were in last in the late 90s. You know damn well that homelessness has a variety of causes, and blaming it on the Tories is disingenuous.

My Mum used to go and help cook lunches for the homeless with her church when Labour was last in as well, in Hampshire.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 11/12/2019 19:50

More determined to vote Conservative after TheBlueStocking post. Well done.

millymoo1202 · 11/12/2019 19:57

SNP, with the hope we’ll get more MP’s in Westminster. I do feel we are much better off in Scotland due to their policies

WeArnottamused · 11/12/2019 19:57

Tactically, I am politically homeless & have been since the Lib Dem’s propped up the conservatives, hubby & I were/are public sector with children with additional extras, who depend on the NHS.

Labour were 2nd here last election, so in the hope of shifting BJ

Judemahmoodid · 11/12/2019 19:58

Lib Dem. Because Brexit. Usually I vote Conservative.

ThisIsSanta · 11/12/2019 19:58

Tactically.

missfliss · 11/12/2019 20:05

Labour. For positive reasons to do with the changes they would bring.

However I really hate how entrenched we all are , and how splintered we are now.

I'm sorry but I really do detest the current Tory Leadership and the right wing press.

However I don't hate people who are conservative voters. They just have different ideas about how to make this country better.

Kyvia · 11/12/2019 20:08

Interesting national results from the vote for policies website. I bet it will in no way reflect the vote tomorrow tho!

Conservative - to get rid of the bloody SNP

Honeyroar · 11/12/2019 20:21

I don’t think what happened results wise in the last election will be anything like the results will be this time. Firm seats may well change.

I’m voting labour this time. I don’t agree with quite a few of their policies but I disagree with more of the Tory policies. I despair of them all generally.

TheBlueStocking · 11/12/2019 20:23

@ThroughThickAndThin01

Well you know what I think of you then, don't you?

@scaryteacher

Yes, weirdly, I do blame the enormous rise in the number of homeless people during the time the Conservatives have been in power on the Conservatives. It's disgusting and inhumane. I stand by my original statement.

HeronLanyon · 11/12/2019 20:30

Feel sick about this election. Absolutely exhausted with the chaos and crap our political system has become over recent years.
Anyway I’m voting labour as I am lifelong socialist labour supporter. Did once vote green due to local candidate. Would definitely vote tactically if I needed to (I don’t - I’m in kier
starmer’s constituency). Really worried for this country if tories get in. Terrible echoes of trump every single day.

HavelockVetinari · 11/12/2019 20:36

I'm voting Labour - I think Corbyn is a prick but I'm voting based on how the most vulnerable person I know of would want me to vote.

cliffdiver · 11/12/2019 20:36

I'm tactically voting Lib Dem.

I'd usually vote Labour.
