To think if you earn under 85k or aren't selfish its a no brainier to vote Labour?

It's closer than ever. They have promised to end homelessness, fix the NHS, the biggest grants ever to improve home insulation, pay the WASPI women the money that was taken from them and so much more.

The only down side is people earning over 85k will pay 5% more tax. It's so little for so much.

It's closer than ever and I the country would be so much better with labour.

Oh look, another thread about politics, it must be a bot! Everybody stop talking about politics so we can go back to complaining about political apathy and low voter turnout!

Both Labour and the Tories are absolute horror shows.

I would normally vote Tory, but I’m anti-Brexit and BJ and his ilk disgust me.

But Labour really aren’t a viable alternative.

I think it's certainly something to believe their ridiculous promises and authorize them to borrow more than a trillion pounds off your children.

Off the NHS of your children's future
Off the countrys credit rating
Off the disabled people's benefits of tomorrow
Off our forces, or police force, or social care budgets

Every pound you let Jerwmy Corbyn piss up the wall on stupid fantasies is going to have to be taken back off someone real at some point.

If you believe that, you're deluded. What about the costs of higher interest rates, worsening exchange rates, higher inflation,

You mean the affects of Brexit.

and come friday morning when the results are known and which is the largest party; hoards will be saying they can't be the government because more people voted against them than for them
you can't assume that a vote for party A( largest share) is a vote against party B / C or D( smallest share) as some voting C might have been trying to keep A from winning while other C voters might have been trying to stop B winning and though C didn't stand much of a chance other C voters will have been hoping for C win

Current IPCC predictions are that sea levels could rise by abouthalf a metre by 2100. Where on earth do you get all this hysterically inaccurate rubbish from?

That report was published in 2013. 6 years ago! I would we have significantly updated our understanding and therefore our predictions of climate change.

Most scientists believe the 62cm - 98cm rise was a conservative estimate and that actually by 2100 the sea levels will rise between 62cm -238cm.

Happy to provide references and websites for you to update your knowledge though

@TonTonMacoute perhaps my hysterically inaccurate information isn't quite so hysterical after all. Or inaccurate. Hmm

Sir John Major is saying a Conservative majority would be a disaster.

He is not a current MP, he's an ex PM who made a right hash of his own administration.

Can you explain your point?

I'm genuinely interested in how you can be moved to vote by one type of racism rather but not another?

@Cheeseandwin5

I am Jewish but will be voting Labour and am a supporter of JC.
Sadly there are alot of people who have been fooled by the constant lies told in the press- by media barons who want to hold on to and increase there wealth and power. The comments JC made were not about Jewish ppl but about Israel, I wouldn't expect the Christians to go mad if he had a go at Spain. The whole thing has been spung in the same way as the controversy about the IRA. People need to look at policies and the actions and not act like sheep and follow the lies who will happily destroy this country and the people in it for greed.

My views also.

The thing is, as with most media BS (such as the story about Samar Alami and Jawad Botmeh posted earlier in this thread), a quick google can give you enough information to make a better-informed decision. But most people, for some reason, are quick to believe what they read in the papers and slow to look into anything in more detail, despite the internet making that so easy.

I think it’s sefish to vote for one of the worst foreign, defence and immigration policies I’ve ever seen, or against Jews who are literally begging you not to, and that’s Labour, so 🤷🏼‍♀️

My DH earns over 85k and we will both vote labour because it isn’t all about us. I don’t want to raise my children in a world where over 100,000 children are homeless, where there are more food banks than there are McDonalds and their education and NHS are under real threat due to funding cuts.

The lack of empathy shown by the Tory voters I know is astounding.

I support the Jewish community and wouldn't support Corbyn if you paid me.

He's an anti-Semitic prick.

That article from Douglas Murray pretty much sums up my views entirely.

These threads are driving me mental.

Yes labour have promised everyone a £100 ASDA voucher and their very own unicorn but FFS they can’t make it work! They’re promising to plough money they don’t have Into sinking ships.

The NHS, education, care and benefit systems are in a complete mess on an organisational level- that’s the main problem! No amount of money thrown at it will simply resolve it as the people running the ship are incompetent, the whole design is crap and resources are just wasted. If there was a single party that had said ‘so we are going to restructure all of this shit to make it run efficiently’ I’d vote for them. Quoting a number that the country can’t afford and saying you’ll invest it - means nothing!!!!

Many people are scared, really scared.

For the climate, for their children's future and for the country that they live in.

YABVU to call people selfish just because they dislike that twat JC. I was a lifelong labour voter but I’d never vote for him. That said, I’d never vote Tory either, I am opposed to most of their policies. I am actually still undecided.
Calling people selfish wont make them vote for your favourite, HTH. Grin
