I find Corbyn deeply unsettling

There is something about the man that makes me shudder - the cold detachment of the man.

I really do worry about what would be unleashed if he were elected.

I can cope with much of the sentiment in the Labour manifesto, but not the man. Similar feelings about Mc Donnell, but he seems to manage to pull out some humanity in interviews

Extraordinary to attack Corbyn for condemning all violence in Northern Ireland while voting for someone who is happy to destroy the GFI.....

ArseDarkly · 11/12/2019 14:00

I'm furious to see someone disgracing the great name of 'Arse' on here with their silly bullshit about Corbyn Angry

NotACleverName · 11/12/2019 14:00

Oh GOD, not a, a Republican!

GhostofFrankGrimes · 11/12/2019 14:01

What the naysayers don't realise is that brexit will likely bring about a United ireland Grin

headsaway123 · 11/12/2019 14:03

Don't get me wrong I think Boris has made some disgusting racist comments so he's no better!

hamstersarse · 11/12/2019 14:03

That video Grin

Why the need to do that? It is absolutely exploitation of that person to make himself look compassionate... again. Total massive cringe.

headsaway123 · 11/12/2019 14:05

A United ireland? Let's see how happy people in the north will be when they start having to pay for health care

TheABC · 11/12/2019 14:09

Here's some good news, OP. If you are not based in Uxbridge or Islington, you are not voting for them. You are voting for a local MP. So find out who your candidates are and what they stand for.

hamstersarse · 11/12/2019 14:09

His anti-capitalism is the main thing for me though:

"Capitalism - the worst system, except for all the others"

BertrandRussell · 11/12/2019 14:09

“ Why the need to do that? It is absolutely exploitation of that person to make himself look compassionate... again. Total massive cringe.”

She’s a sharp kid who’s interviewed loads of people for her vlog. Why do you think he was “making himself look compassionate”?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 11/12/2019 14:11

Paying for healthcare is a real possibility under the tories.

hamstersarse · 11/12/2019 14:13

Do you seriously not feel totally cringed out by that video? It's absolute opportunism.

And anyway, pretty much 99% of the population would be able to have a reasonable conversation with her. Why is that even put out as an example of this amazing character he has - it's just basic human decency that I would suggest most people in this country have.

The idea that is makes you some sort of superhero is odd.

SemperIdem · 11/12/2019 14:13

Corbyn should have stood aside. A less divisive leader should be the front of Labour now, for this election. I think it is inevitable that the Conservatives will come out ahead, for that reason.

If only Ed Miliband hadn’t stabbed his brother in the back, the last few years would probably have been very different politically, had David Miliband been Labour leader during the last GE.

BertrandRussell · 11/12/2019 14:14

And if you had any idea who Nikki Lily is, I don’t think you would be using the word “exploitation”

Mistlewoeandwhine · 11/12/2019 14:14

I’m N.Irish. I used to live in the next road to Mo Mowlam in Hillsborough. Thank God Labour stopped the troubles. I hate Blair and all he stands for but Labour including Corbyn, by talking to terrorists on both sides, have saved so many lives. We used to have to check under our car for bombs every day.

hamstersarse · 11/12/2019 14:16

It does speak to the point that the left hate hearing - virtue signalling. Constantly having to show what amazingly compassionate people you are.

This constant posturing about basic human decency is honestly tiresome.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 11/12/2019 14:17

Have you seen the latest?

Do some people really want this man as PM??

He just continually refuses to face scrutiny.

He's a coward not a leader.

So why did he chose her? We all know why, even if you don't want to admit it. Why not some other vlogger?

BertrandRussell · 11/12/2019 14:19

“This constant posturing about basic human decency is honestly tiresome.”
Is that why the Right don’t bother with it?

hamstersarse · 11/12/2019 14:21

I think it is! There are just some things that almost don't need to be said unless you are speaking to someone on the left

Of course people on the right care about the NHS, poverty and the education of children. It's odd you would have to point it out when you think about it!

NameChangeNugget · 11/12/2019 14:23

Couldn’t agree more @Semperidem

A decent centre left candidate, with policies that appeal to the mainstream, would be running rings around the Conservatives

Lumene · 11/12/2019 14:23

Blair did a great job there I agree. Ask him what he thinks if Corbyn in relation to NI it won’t be anything near your positive sentiments.

Imagine a politician inviting a terrorist leader who had directly encouraged violent murderous attacks to the Houses of Parliament for a nice chat shortly after one of the bombings or deadly attacks. That is what Corbyn did.

BertrandRussell · 11/12/2019 14:26

“Of course people on the right care about the NHS, poverty and the education of children. It's odd you would have to point it out when you think about it!”
I’m sure they do. They just aren’t the main criteria that inform their voting.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 11/12/2019 14:27

British governments had been meeting (secretly) with the IRA since 1972.
