I find Corbyn deeply unsettling

There is something about the man that makes me shudder - the cold detachment of the man.

I really do worry about what would be unleashed if he were elected.

I can cope with much of the sentiment in the Labour manifesto, but not the man. Similar feelings about Mc Donnell, but he seems to manage to pull out some humanity in interviews

I tihnk both BJ and Corbyn are good men. Also voters should leave aside their views of the leaders and vote on which party is best for the country (which is obviously the Tories).

BertrandRussell · 11/12/2019 10:56

Johnson is objectively a bad man!

Yorkshirelass444 · 11/12/2019 10:59

YANBU
The only time he shows emotion is when his mask slips and he's horribly aggressive- just demonstrates how manufactured his "calm" persona is.

PinkCrayon · 11/12/2019 11:00

I agree BertrandRussell I think he is a really good listener and does well at communicating he thinks alot before he speaks, he delivers himself well.
To be honest I think the more interviews I have seen of Corbyn the more I think he seems pretty decent.

ArcheryAnnie · 11/12/2019 11:03

I think Corbyn is an utter, utter shit. He's either deceitful or incompetent, can't decide which. Happliy for me, my local Labour candidate agrees with me on this.

Despite my antipathy to Corbyn, I'm still voting Labour because the alternative is Boris, who we already know is both deceitful and incompetent, and who leads a party whose policies and ideology are destroying lives.

Peaseblossom22 · 11/12/2019 11:05

I can’t stand either of them but I do remember Corbyn canvassing in North London when he was on the council and he was creepy and slimey and also hectoring . Try as I might I can’t shake that image , this was in the days of the leaflets through doors telling us to sing ‘Baa baa green sheep’ you couldn’t make it up. I think he is stupid and ineffectual , the real power and the scary one is John Mc Donal .

It is a sad indictment of our political system that this is all we have to choose from .

BertrandRussell · 11/12/2019 11:09

“ this was in the days of the leaflets through doors telling us to sing ‘Baa baa green sheep’ you couldn’t make it up.”
You obviously can!

MrsGolightly · 11/12/2019 11:11

Surprised at this, I find him genuine and professional

MaxNormal · 11/12/2019 11:12

BertrandRussell Corbyn is fundamentally kind, i think. He's a very different man to Johnson and I feel very sad about what tomorrow will likely bring.
Johnson is not a good, kind or decent person.

ethelredonagoodday · 11/12/2019 11:15

With you @BertrandRussell.

mixtap · 11/12/2019 11:18

Corbyn is a vain and foolish old man clinging onto the leadership and ruining Labour's chances. Have you seen his "Mean Tweets" thing. Aaarggh.

recrudescence · 11/12/2019 11:21

Johnson is objectively a bad man!

Strongly agree. But so is Corbyn.

Elbeagle · 11/12/2019 11:22

There is no way on earth Boris is a good man.

Peaseblossom22 · 11/12/2019 11:25

@BertrandRussell honestly I didn’t , my surname at the time was Green so my housemates covered my door with the leaflets . Strange times but you know hat I would rather have been living then than now , it was a bit silly but compared to the vitriol of politics now it seems strangely innocent .

MarshaBradyo · 11/12/2019 11:26

The whole thing has shifted now anyway playing dirty with lies is often the more successful campaign. The Trump way. Brexit

There was a quote around- lie and keep it simple, repeat - maybe on another thread which was interesting

StarbucksSmarterSister · 11/12/2019 11:26

So you know your leader hasn't the right personality for the job, but you still want him in

This applies even more to Johnson.

the majority of the homeless are addicts

Homelessness has rocketed since 2010 so presumably you think the number of addicts has too? Large numbers of homeless are ex forces or kids who grew up in care then get booted out at 18. Perhaps IF you are right we should look at why people have become addicts?

I saw a homeless teenager on tv recently in tears as he simply could not get anywhere to live. He looked about 17. It's criminal that this happens in our country.

Peaseblossom22 · 11/12/2019 11:27

Johnson is a vile dishonest narcissist , as I said I am appalled that this is the best our system has given us to choose between .

Legomadx2 · 11/12/2019 11:28

He's an anti-semitic friend of terrorists. He's an appalling man who will ruin this country if he gets in.

Bujinkhal · 11/12/2019 11:28

You know what gives me chills? Our current prime minister telling us that inequality is essential.

ArseDarkly · 11/12/2019 11:29

I cannot think of a single thing that's good about Boris Johnson - he is bloody awful in every way. I would say he loves his Dad but actually he just uses him as he uses everyone.

RhinoskinhaveI · 11/12/2019 11:29

I think most people who attain positions of power are somewhat ruthless and self-serving, it's up to us to choose people who have the ability to be good leaders and good negotiators and then we have to hold them to account and make sure they do the right thing

Medievalist · 11/12/2019 11:32

Corbyn is either incredibly stupid or incredibly vain. Labour has the best chance in years to get into power and they won't because so many people just won't vote for him.

He should have stood aside months ago so that a more credible and vote-worthy leader could have been put into place.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 11/12/2019 11:33

I tihnk both BJ and Corbyn are good men.

Johnson is a shit.

Peaseblossom22 · 11/12/2019 11:34

Totally agree with Medievalist

minminminnie · 11/12/2019 11:34

Boris Johnson's misogyny and islamophobia make me shudder.
