OMG - I’ve just watched “Good Morning Britain” for the first time

Is this nonsense on every morning?? This hideous, vile individual, Piers Morgan - sorry, but why?? How is he in a job? They were taking about some absolute crap (whether you should be able to use the phrase “When the fat lady sings”) and he was literally bellowing over the two women sitting next to him and the two guests. Just shouting over them! This is ITV. I presume it’s the same every morning. Can’t bear the man and it’s certainly not “Good Morning” to anyone when he’s on first thing. The blonde presenter next to him hasn’t got a word in edgeways for twenty minutes. Why is nobody complaining about this tosser? Can’t stand men like this. Even DH said he’s a fool. I had no idea.

It’s why I have not watched GM Britain since he started. That and the adverts every five minutes.

I think he is an arrogant, entitled, misogynistic, self serving, self publicising numpty.

I love Piers Morgan. Wish he was on the show every day.

Sycophantic Lorraine Kelly
Annoying Phil and Holly

I suppose it’s a small mercy (well, huge actually) they got the odious Jeremy Kyle removed from our screens

I prefer the radio.

I have R4 on in the mornings or the world service in the early hours (I am not a good sleeper).

I like it when Rylan does This Morning. Oddly sharp.

Great sense of humour, loud, opinionated and very popular. The "blonde woman" is the newsreader. She's not supposed to join in the general banter. Best you go and listen to R4.

It's trash, all the itv day time crap is utter trash.

Piers is on Monday-Wednesday and doesn't work Thursday/Friday, although I think he may be on this Friday to dissect the results of the election. Suzanna is on Monday-Thursday and doesn't work Fridays. The 'blonde' woman is Charlotte who reads the news, so she doesn't get involved in the interviews unless she's filling in for Suzanna on Friday.

Sometimes I like Piers, but a lot of the time he's shouting or talking over the guests too much. He thinks it's the Piers show, but I really enjoy the days he's not there and it's a calmer environment.

There's a lot of politics on the show in amongst the nonsense. It's tabloid telly. BBC show is mind numbingly boring.

It's ITV, what do you expect? It's low-brow, celebrity gossip with a sprinkling of proper news chucked in. Appeals to the same demographic which likes Love Island and follows "influencers" on instagram.

It's a shame because ITV does the occasional good drama. But it's lost in the mass of low quality dross to appeal to the hard of thinking.

Short of standing on the sofa and screaming her head off, I’m not sure what she could have done tbh and anyway, why should she have to drag herself down to his level. He was so obnoxious, it was unbelievable. A woman like that on prime TV wouldn’t last five minutes.

He used the segment to go on a personal tirade about, “I’m not PC. I’m not a namby pamby snowflake. Oh no, I’m Piers Morgan so I’ll say it how it is.,,, “ Nobody could care less, you silly little man.

Pineapple - yes, I thought it was just me, but has ITV in general turned to trash? When you go on “ITV Hub” it’s all Love Island and stuff about celebs nobody ever heard of. It’s like that “Take a Break” magazine.

I love Piers. I only watch GMB the mornings he’s on it. I agree, sometimes he’s a bit OTT and nobody else gets a chance to speak but at least he grills the pathetic politicians properly and doesn’t let them get away with their lame attempts to give direct answers.
I think Piers is definitely the human version of marmite....and I for one, would spread him all over my toast!!

Yes, pretty much. There is nothing I watch on ITV. I think the only "must see" thing they've had in the last decade has been Downtown Abbey, and I always watched that on a monday on catch up because of the constant ad breaks. Used to love Inspector Morse, and Lewis. Quite like Vera and Endeavour, but always on catch up. That's it.

The rest of their output is soaps, rubbish talent shows and quizzes. It's just shite really. And it depresses me that people want to scrap the licence fee and turn the BBC into another ITV with more of the same. Yes there's quizzes and soaps on BBC too (although far fewer) but their quality of output is so much higher.

Totally agree. I can’t watch a single second when Piers is on. It’s beyond me that he made it past a few days on the show. What’s the fucking point in inviting people on just for him to yell over them. Horrendous
