AIBU to tell you how happy I am to be going to my first nativity tomorrow?

I was diagnosed with cancer just after my daughter turned two, seeing her in her first nativity at school was not something I was expecting to be around for. I'm currently in remission, despite being told I'm stage 4 and can't be cured. AIBU to be absolutely to the point of weeping happy that I'll be seeing her on stage in the morning and to ask what you're happy about right now too and start a little happy thread? Xmas Smile

Thats so lovely for both of you, a friend has Lupus which can floor her for weeks and when she can attend events it's so special for both of them, it's lovely seeing the happiness. Have a lovely Christmas. x

This is all kinds of lovely. Happy for you OP. My dad was given 2 years (if he underwent treatment), he lived for 14 more.

She's going to be an angel, she's been practising her song all week - though I did have to Google part of the song to work out what the heck the rest of it was. I literally can't wait. I'm going to be "that Mum" sobbing in the audience but I don't care.

School Christmas plays really are lovely (and I’m as cynical as fuck too!). One of my favourite days of the year.

I totally well up at all my DCs school events like that. They’re just so adorable my eyes just fill up. Hope your DC enjoys it too
