It seems like the stories about the old silver fox are ramping up. Feel like there's more mileage in this one that we know...

I keep coming back to George Michael, who was very publicly outed
God love him, the video and song Outside were tremendous, sexy as and make me smile now. That's how you deal with a ''scandal''

I adore George and I agree. He handled it so beautifully and so elegantly. He laughed about it, made a joke and was very honest and open and treated it like.. I'm gay- so what?
There was none of this gushing and weeping and wailing and demanding of sympathy or recognition like creepy PS.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 11/02/2020 20:13

I love sleb twaddle but would have been in less Detective Pikachu/tricoteuse-popcorn mode had he not been lying his ass off

I have found my tribe @NutEIIaFitzgerald

SpokeTooSoon · 11/02/2020 20:33

He may have signed one when he started working there, rather than when he left

No, I know first-hand that this doesn’t happen.

Can we call the next thread 'Philip Schofield- dancing on THIN ice' Grin

Sowhatywhaty That's the name of the latest Tattle life thread on him. Now there's a site unburdened by moderators Grin

PS not so much.

JillAmanda · 11/02/2020 21:29

I remember when George Michael was interviewed on (I think) Parkinson and was talking about how the police had sent an attractive PO into the bathroom... “they don’t send Columbo in there....” 😁

JillAmanda · 11/02/2020 21:30

.... and who can forget his appearance on “Extras” - hanging around the public toilet whilst doing community service for fly tipping 😂

Russellbrandshair · 11/02/2020 21:32

God I love George ❤️ I miss him too

PolaDeVeboise · 11/02/2020 21:40

George - a true gentleman and one of the few people in the public eye, it would seem, with absolutely no skeletons in his closet. If you'll pardon the pun. I miss him so much.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 11/02/2020 21:50

Has there been a falling out with Rylan Clarke Neal? And Alison Hammond too. I know Rylan has other programmes, but he hasn’t been on TM for ages and I wonder if he was fed up with it all.

aloneinthenight · 11/02/2020 21:58

Rylan has said things before, supposedly about PS.

He said this last year when he was asked if he was friends with everyone he worked with. "‘Some of the people I work with talk to people like s**t, but I treat the runner on my TV shows exactly the same as I do the executive producers."

callmeadoctor · 11/02/2020 22:06

Mmmmmm, so Rylan mentioned a "runner", interesting!

Can we call the next thread 'Philip Schofield- dancing on THIN ice' Grin

On the condition that another thread is titled This Fawning.

Dowser · 11/02/2020 22:25

Well I was going to switch on this morning, this morning to see how cringey and bad they both are.
Never watched much since richard and Judy upped and left.
Then I had an epiphany and realised I had too much self respect to subject myself to all that sycophantic fawning.

Do the Producers honestly think we are so stupid to be subjected to such mind numbing boredom.
I hope some of the executives for this programme realise that
People Switched off years ago and if not are probably switching off in their droves now.

As for we buy any car..it’s time they canned the ads. Do they honestly think people are gullible enough to believe smuggy mcsmug face goes to them to sell his car..because he’s so short on time.
Really?
They need to take a reality check.
The minute he comes on my tv the channel gets changed.
Even my dil is starting to question what is going on...and believe me that is a monumental move for her.
So producers, when you piss off someone like her..you’ve really got a problem with your target audience.

derxa · 11/02/2020 22:36

God I love George ❤️ I miss him too Didn't he once call into This Morning when Richard and Judy were on?

Janus · 11/02/2020 23:26

Agree, George you were a credit and handled it just as perfectly as possible. I miss George too ❤️

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 12/02/2020 00:03

@derxa
God I love George ❤️ I miss him too Didn't he once call into This Morning when Richard and Judy were on?

Can’t remember the exact details but he made a donation to a charity(?) after seeing it on TM. He wanted to stay anonymous but it was such a generous amount that Richard and Judy phoned him and “outed” him live on TV.

He also sent money to a contestant on Deal or No Deal after hearing she wanted to win big to put it towards a round of IVF after it failed for her the first time. He also did the same for a woman who appeared on TM with a similar story.

He also used to regularly volunteer at a local homeless shelter and begged his colleagues to not tell anyone so his identity would be hidden, something that didn’t come out until after his death.

I loved him too. ❤️

^^ Might have got some details wrong but clips of the above are all on YouTube

Lardlizard · 12/02/2020 07:07

George was a class act, I know a couple gay friends that have been quite offended with the way ps acted on Friday

Lardlizard · 12/02/2020 07:09

So disappointed In Ruth Langford though, having anything to do with that farce on Friday morning
I really thought she was above that

MissEliza · 12/02/2020 07:19

Ruth surely didn't have any choice.

Quirrelsotherface · 12/02/2020 07:32

Yes I suspect Ruth found out at the last minute and given that she was presenting the show that morning she had no choice but to go along with it. Eamon didn't look enthralled with it all and when Phillip tried to pull him in for a group hug with Ruth he held back.

The whole thing, the silence, is bizarre. Even Piers Morgan who is usually so mouthy about everything. Do you think they didn't know the whole story of MM?

blondiebrowneyes · 12/02/2020 07:48

It's clearly a massive cover up going on. How long do super injunctions last?

ManonBlackbeak · 12/02/2020 07:53

I thought Philip seemed quieter than usual on Dancing on Ice and let Holly do most of the talking. Obviously a lot on his mind..

He also looks gaunt and unwell. I suppose stress does that as well.

This has clearly been going on for ages.

Lifeisgenerallyfun · 12/02/2020 08:06

I suspect all the ITV lot are keeping their heads down as they know eventually PS and HW will be out (and if Ant and Dec have any sense they will be slowly backing away from the pair). Everyone will want to be seen as able to tow the ITV mafia line to stand them in good stead in replacing PS and HW. Why let truth and integrity stand in the way of more fame and a bigger paycheque? Just another (if rather more overt) example of the media working together to try and make us believe in what is not necessarily the truth but is the most profitable position for status quo.
