It seems like the stories about the old silver fox are ramping up. Feel like there's more mileage in this one that we know...

Amanda Holden lost her job because of him ...then issues with form Brittan ,don’t like the man in the slightest

CurlyhairedAssassin · 07/12/2019 14:18

Is the insurance ad the one with the puppy? It’s so odd, that as. Whenever I see it I keep expecting him to suddenly turn really nasty and break the puppy’s neck.

SunniDay · 07/12/2019 14:22

I went to watch "the movie game" being filmed when I was a kid. He turned it on for the cameras and was miserable when they stopped rolling. Everyone was warned to not approach him in the breaks and he would not be signing autographs.

CoolCarrie · 07/12/2019 14:24

I can’t stand him or Holly, they must have bloody good agents, they are both overpaid and over exposed

rhubarbcrumbles · 07/12/2019 14:25

What stories? He was vaguely good in the broom cupboard but he is just irritating beyond measure now.

Evilmorty · 07/12/2019 14:28

SunniDay I met him on the movie game and he did actually sign for me, and pose for a photo. I loved him back then!

coconuttelegraph · 07/12/2019 14:29

The car advert is such an odd thing to do for someone who can't need the money and frankly looks like he has not aged well in it

PointlessUsername · 07/12/2019 14:29

I think he & Holly come across really fake and feel like they would be very stuck up in person.

Tistheseason17 · 07/12/2019 14:30

Yeah, I never liked the way Fern was ousted. Love Fern.

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/12/2019 14:31

I used to like him but as I got older, I realised there is a not so wholesome part of him that he either his well or my naivety missed.

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/12/2019 14:31

his well = hid well

fikel · 07/12/2019 14:31

I think he has a v inflated ego, wants to be top dog and bet he has a v sharp tongue under that image he so carefully portrays.
I don’t enjoy watching him on TV much prefer Eamon and Ruth on This Morning and he’s just in our face far too much 🤮

DingDongSchadenfreudeOnHigh · 07/12/2019 14:32

I think Gordon carried Phil in that closet

I was going to say the same thing Queef. Without Gordon, Schofield was nothing - and yet that poor gopher got paid peanuts.

Grin

And the tweet Butchy posted is pathetic - I feel embarrassed for him, tweeting that.

MistyCloud · 07/12/2019 14:37

Not a fan. I used to think he was OK, but he (and that squeaking talentless piece of cotton wool he hosts with,) both do my head in!

I am not a fan or Jeremy Corbyn OR Boris Johnson, but the way they tore Corbyn apart, and kissed Johnson's ass, has made me go from not liking them much, to disliking them intensely.

Wish they'd feck off. Bring Richard and Judy back is what I say!

Philip Schofield?

He stuck his hand up my arse and it hurt, says a gopher who wishes to remain anonymous.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 07/12/2019 14:49

Sounds like he has gone down the same path as Noel Edmunds - massive ego syndrome.

Can't stand him or his blonde sidekick on TM, they are both talentless twits. They epitomise the dumbing down culture.

yesterdayhasgone · 07/12/2019 14:58

Call me cynical but I always feel a little suspicious of anyone who’s never off the tv. Why do they throw so much work at certain people.

astralweaks · 07/12/2019 15:00

Frankly he reached the “pinnacle” of his so called success on kids’ tv. It was all downhill thereafter.

Horrid little person.

CardiFree · 07/12/2019 15:00

Never could warm to him. And I'm of the gopher generation.

Smug and always doubting women's testimonies in awful abuse-type situations.

Ego for days and highly threatened by intelligent people, especially women.

astralweaks · 07/12/2019 15:01

squeaking talentless piece of cotton wool

Perfect description of her. 😂

Jumpi · 07/12/2019 15:02

Dancing on ice and his grim turtle necks will be back to bother my screens soon too.
