Why is everyone accusing the runner of doing an expose/blackmail? The whatsapp convo I saw (could be faked especially as one had a first name with an i not a y) were from two of the lighting crew and if there has been nepotism/promotion the leaks to the papers could either be technicians or another runner (there are at least three on TM) but easier to put it out there that it's a kiss and tell. That poor lad if it's true.
Either it isn't but he's been told to go to ground anyway because he's a gay protegee. Or he's moved on because it was a toxic environment and he ended up at the receiving end. Or he was in a relationship, thought it meant something then got dumped as soon as others got wind/got jealous because of perceived favouritism.

They certainly look after their own at ITV. They way they've protected people like Ant and Colleen Nolan is disgusting. It's really become the nasty channel. Plus the entire schedule is dominated by tacky programmes presented a small group of people which is incredibly dull IMHO. Apart from a few dramas and the Chase we never have ITV on.

A few years ago Popbitch mentioned in one of their emails that ITV haven't invested in new talent for a long time, and so when Ant has his issues there was genuine panic as they don;t really have anyone to replace Ant and Dec, Holly, Philip etc.

I feel massively sorry for both his daughters and wife. The elder daughter may have tweeted her support but I would guess she is also trying to save her career as well, as dad leaving under a cloud means that her job may no longer be in place.

The ITV presenters are very connected and I think I read previously that they were encouraged to socialise together as it meant there was a level of protection as they were a clique. However if the alleged social media reports are true, there is a level of who knew & would be damaged by the fall out. As long as they all sing from the same sheet then there is a chance of it going away. However, the risk is one deciding they were best out of it and dropping the rest into it. They could end up with the best contracts, as ITV have a small incestuous talent pool. So will greed win out?

I guess ITV will be handing out some fab contracts in the future to keep a lid on it. ITV may be better off quickly finding some new unrelated talent and easing the current crop out.
