I've never liked PS. He's deeply manipulative and dare I say it narcissistic. It used to be the News of The World which exposed these stories and now it's Twitter and social media. His poor family.

Very strange showreel for the young guy. The focus seems far more on PS than on him?! I also noted how close the two were sat on the sofa- knees touching. I can't imagine many blokes who weren't very close would feel comfortable sitting like that.

The problem with scenario 2 is that it doesn’t ring true when you take into account that 1. PS and this kid have been in contact since 2011 when he was 14ish, and 2. the age gap and balance of power. Who exactly was best placed to do the manipulating here?

Of course no one knows exactly what went on (yet) but I’m inclined to disbelieve that the young runner plotted this from the start. Runners are the lowest rung of TV jobs. He has everything to lose.

I agree with everything you say but scenario 2 is not impossible. I've watched his 'show reel' a few times and he is VERY confident. He has taken charge and does not seem overshadowed or intimidated by PSch, HW, Eamonn or Ruth.

There are so many young people desperate to get into film/TV. If they make a contact, or 'friends' they see it as a way in. The big name is the one with the power in the relationship, not the runner who does what they're told when they're told to do it (and that extends far beyond what you might expect them to do).

Nobody knows what the truth here is.

However confident the runner is, a teenager and then a young man, does not have power over a much older man (could be his grandad if you do the math) who is rich and a big noise in the tv world.

I haven't watched the showreel, but a PP said he was very confident. He may have thought he was secure in the older man's affections and that the older man would do anything for him. He was wrong, he did not want to come out at this stage. And the young man he had first come into contact when he was 15 was getting older, more of an adult who might have wanted more.
