Just to say As Savile has been mentioned that Janet Street Porter also worked at the BBC at the same time as Savile and said nothing, and I remember her stumbling, vague answers on Question Time when it all came out about his vile behaviour, so don’t blame just the men who worked there only for saying nothing at the time, plenty knew about him over the years and did nothing.

Scenario 1
Ruthless PSch groomed innocent inexperienced young runner. Took advantage of him and used his position in tv to get what he wanted.
Dumped him when he had taken what he wanted.
Runner threatens to tell al and forces PSch to 'come out'.
ITV doesn't give a damn and does everything it can to protect its most lucrative presenter.

Scenario 2
Ruthless young runner will do anything to get a break in television. Peruses older man who is flattered & falls for his charms.
Realises that the runner is using him to get a career break and ends it.
Runner threatens to tell all and expose the 'relationship forcing PSch to come out.
ITV realise that PSch has been taken for a ride and do all they can to protect him.
