What three things made you happy / smile / laugh today?

Mine are:
1 A toasted slice of brioche loaf with salty butter and golden syrup for lunch
2 I do the M&S shoulder shuffle every time I see the advert or hear the music. I did it in the petrol station today
3 The dog has his chin on my knee

Waking up in the Caribbean
Drinking a cold beer by the pool

I do know it is not really BU but it is dark and foggy here, so I wanted a bit of light

I’m a teacher, and have two so far (maybe one more will happen when I finally get home!) One was the children making hilarious (joke) excuses to be allowed to leave early, like “my hair hurts” and “I have sprained my ear”. (It’s a running joke). Another was a child in my form doing something incredibly kind for another who is struggling - I can’t go into details, but it almost make me cry.

Wearing a fluffy polo neck jumper, sitting in a comfy chair and pulling the neck up over my nose. All snug like.

1. Marking tests from my class- they'd done themselves proud.
2. Tickling my daughter's belly and hearing her infectious laugh.
3. We're having takeout tonight.

1. Watched ds age 5 in his Xmas performance this morning, was so lovely to see his happy little face singing.
2. Dd age 2 was sat on my knee watching and was bopping along and clapping (so cute!)
3. Treat myself to a rare mcds breakfast afterwards, mmmmm!

Getting really into the music I was listening to earlier - I stayed out walking in the cold so I could keep listening!

Practicing my new hobby and feeling (tiny) progress.

My DH has just, without announcing he was going to, changed the bed linen on his own (we usually do it together) as I've got a cold.

I downloaded a very sweet and soppy Xmas wallpaper for my phone which made me smile.

I am going to eat some delicious biscuits later on with a cup of tea, and that will definitely make me happy - just thinking about it is making me smile.

Oooh and another one! Found a really good quality large casserole dish with lid on the charity shop today!

2. My children are the meal I cooked, enjoyed it and didn't complain
3. I am feeling better today after a virus that's been hanging around

Waking up with one of my cats snuggled in.

DS16 telling me a funny story about his day on our way home.

Coming home to a spotlessly clean and fresh house (my monthly cleaner was in today).

Singing carols along with the kids and a brass band at the school Christmas fayre.
Sitting down with a glass of fizz to watch a Christmas movie with my dc after the Christmas fayre.
Seeing my newly plastered ceiling in my front room ( I have been waiting four years to get it done! )

1. my friend sent me a very silly recording of her doing her John Anderson (referee from the gladiators tv show) impression which really made me laugh

2. something difficult at work which had been dragging on for a bit finally got resolved

3. made plans with some old friends to meet up for a December drink

My dog running up to me tonight after a friend walked her for me. Her fur was so lovely and cool and she was so happy to be home

New freshly washed and ironed flannel bedding on the bed

A blackberry gin and elderflower tonic as my three kids are all asleep and I’ve also had a shower

1. being told my baby is all ok (had some reduced movements today!)

2. enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and a slice of toffee cake at a cafe

3. admiring my Christmas tree 🎄☺️

1. A funny audiobook on a cold, foggy, dark drive this morning
2. Being taken out for lunch by my (brilliant) boss
3. Hearing the heating click on when I was feeling cold but also cba to get off the sofa to turn it on manually

Waking up to a message from DP this morning saying ‘good morning beautiful 😘’ he works away and I love his morning messages

Lying on the couch earlier in my newly decorated living room, watching my Christmas tree lights and seeing the giant inflatable Santa in the front garden bobbing away in the wind through the window

DDs excited high pitched voice when I made her a bed under her mid sleeper, complete with fairy lights and teddies to cuddle and books to read (she’s 4)

1. getting the all clear with some much worried about medical results
2. having a toasted crumpet with melted salty butter before dinner
3. waking up to my 2.5 year old stroking my arm and face

1. getting loads of work done from home today
2. getting myself some new trainers at half the price (Nike airs, were £100 got them for £50!)
3. putting up some Xmas lights outside with my DC

Oh and now lying in a bath with a creme egg and reading my book - absolute bliss
