3 moments of happiness

What three things made you happy / smile / laugh today?

Mine are:
1 A toasted slice of brioche loaf with salty butter and golden syrup for lunch
2 I do the M&S shoulder shuffle every time I see the advert or hear the music. I did it in the petrol station today
3 The dog has his chin on my knee

What an awesome thread. My anxiety is crippling at the minute so most days Is just getting through the day and it’s now made me think.

I had cuddles with a gorgeous doggy today and then went home to my own gorgeous doggy who didn’t get jealous I smelled like other dogs.(usually does)
I got to hold someone’s pride and joy newborn.
One of my clients had very good news and I’m buzzing for her

All mine involve my 4 month old daughter

  1. She spent an hour with her grandad which he absolutely adores.
  2. I had a starbucks in peace in the car while she slept.
  3. Believe it or not She was sick up my friends nose tonight 😂😂

Teaching a song to 60 children in the morning and hearing them singing it all around the school in the afternoon!

My kids eating the meal I cooked with absolutely no complaints and asking for more!

My oldest (dd, 8) working really hard and being so chuffed with herself for learning 50 words in another language for a test at school tomorrow. She is so proud of herself and so am I - she doesn't walk an easy road...

Quite a tough question today as I have an awful cold and feel like shit, but thinking about it

  1. DH sorting DCs out and taking them to school so I could have an extra half hour in bed
  2. My little boy giving me the biggest cuddle on the sofa.
  3. Watching Nativity! With DD before bed.

  2. Hearing a 'difficult' boy in my y1 class say what sounded like a genuine apology.

Mine are:
1: opening my advent calendars
2: coming home to a warm house after a burst pipe yesterday and a freezing night. It was bliss.
3: I am now languishing in a bath with aromatherapy oils.

  1. Playing snakes and ladders with my youngest in school before the bell went
  2. Working in the university library instead of at my (NHS) placement this morning
  3. Meeting with our builder this evening and hearing that we are finally moving onto the next stage of our build (although this does mean we will have no kitchen or heating just in time for Christmas!)

Trying out a new mascara and it's very quite good. It's an Essence from Wilko, apparently Nigella Lawson swears by it!

Watching the Royal Marines band on the news, they were playing to the two new warships (together for the first time) in Portsmouth. Felt very patriotic.

Spoke to both my DDs on the phone, they sounded happy and I will see them soon!

When DD5 tried not to cuddle me when i asked for one, but then couldn't resist (She never can resist a cuddle).
Dog related cuteness.
Repeatedly smiling/laughing over something hilarious DM said yesterday.

Finally transfering info from old falling apart 20 years old address book to new one.
Enjoying 2 episodes of The Crown.
Making a decision to buy a new Christmas tree and putting the old one in the garden for the Christmas period.
