I’ve been on MN since September so still fairly new but I’m obsessed . I am always reading AIBU’s but I’m hooked on the chat section, and I have read some funny stuff over the last few months . Just wanting a laugh really so if you’ve been on here a while , are there any particular threads that have stuck with you ?

OP posts:
ApacheTomcat · 01/12/2019 19:33

There was a thread on here years ago where the MNer's child had done a wee on her "patent leather kickers" and wanted to know how to clean them.

Instead nearly everyone who replied had mis-read the title as "patent leather knickers".

A silly thread from ye olde MN but it still makes me laugh. Grin

I'm fairly new, & I find that the funniest threads get removed.

I wander off to do something else, & my belly-laugh thread has gone.

cookielove · 01/12/2019 19:35

Mexican house thief is actually part of a cheeky thread! But boy it is amazing!

NonUrinatInVentum · 01/12/2019 19:35

Angela Hernandez ... Second only to the Sistine Screamer. Hilarious. Grin

SquareAsABlock · 01/12/2019 19:36

This thread will drag them all out again so people can proclaim absolute hilarity guaranteed to wake the baby.

Dont forget much tea spitting and odd looks from DH/kids/the dog.

DotForShort · 01/12/2019 19:36

Cheer up. This thread will drag them all out again so people can proclaim absolute hilarity guaranteed to wake the baby.

As an added bonus, it will encourage new posters to come along and aim for a place in Mumsnet troll graveyard classics

Sad but very true.

puds11 · 01/12/2019 19:37

My fave classics are ‘if my 4 yo had access to Aibu’ also known as cutted up pear.

And the one where the op accidentally painted a pigeon Grin

Ratbagcatbag · 01/12/2019 19:38

I can't remember the title, but somewhere in classics is something like "help, I spray painted a pigeon". I cried with laughter at that one some years back.

VolcanionSteamArtillery · 01/12/2019 19:38

The naked man in the male changing room must have made classics surely!!

lazylinguist · 01/12/2019 19:39

I don't really understand why people get so het up about 'troll' threads which are funny and harmless. Obviously it's different if it's a troll thread pretending to be something serious or upsetting.

TheWitchwithNoName · 01/12/2019 19:41

My favourite thread was the one where the OP dyed her bum hole blue with toothpaste, I cried with laughter for hours. Hope it’s in classics.

DotForShort · 01/12/2019 19:41

I have a question actually, how do you know if someone is a troll?

Stick around and you will get to know the topics they typically choose, as well as the style of thread they prefer. Sadly, the Relationships board tends to be a particular favourite for trolls. But they are everywhere on MN, alas.

SquareAsABlock · 01/12/2019 19:41

how do you know if someone is a troll?

It's easy. If a thread is ridiculous, dramatic, updates at speed or just seems generally unbelievable, it usually is untrue. Generally look for any thread with the words Cheeky Fucker for examples. Sadly, most posts started by 'teachers' seem to be perverts as well - no one on here seems to have grasped that no professional teacher would genuinely ask questions like 'can I deny a 7 year old the toilet' on AIBU.

TheNameGames · 01/12/2019 19:41

The one about dolphins raping swimmers and how all dolphins were actually evil and enemies against us.

I didn't read this one personally myself but someone else referenced it in another post: where someone with a small child wanted to know how to raise money and another user suggested they tried busking on the street and got their small child to dance around. Just the image and the mere idea made me laugh.

Stickybeaksid · 01/12/2019 19:48

The one where the husband ate the fat ball for the birds is hands down the funniest one ever. It’s in classics somewhere

Monkeynuts18 · 01/12/2019 19:49

This wasn’t a thread but I saw a post where a woman claimed her breastfed baby slept through because she ate porridge and full fat milk every morning which made her milk creamy and filling. It just made me laugh. Obviously! All these millions of sleep-deprived parents - the secret is eating porridge and full fat milk!

MsTSwift · 01/12/2019 19:51

The lady that made her child’s friends parent sit on the drive rather than allow her in her house

puds11 · 01/12/2019 19:51

@Stickybeaksid that was both hilarious and grim! I cried a bit and retched a bit.

‘Help I pooed on my skirt at work’ was good too Grin

stoplickingthetelly · 01/12/2019 19:56

Yes, classics is where you need to be. There are a few that really made me laugh out loud - fastballs, little old Korean lady and your minge. Not ridiculous in terms of people being completely unreasonable, but hilarious. The recent one about the grandchild’s high chair at Christmas dinner is truely ridiculous and one I’ll remember for a while yet.

coolwalking · 01/12/2019 19:59

Supersoaker thread is my all time favourite followed by the one about the dead cat (isn't as morbid as it sounds)

Spitsandspots · 01/12/2019 20:04

I just did a search, this is going to keep me entertained this evening

TheNameGames · 01/12/2019 20:04

I think this one may have been in Chat back when threads got deleted after a certain amount of days but does anyone else remember the one where the OP wasn't feeling very well and was stuck on a kitchen counter being melodramatic? I don't think it's in classics or is archived anywhere but I'd love to read it again, I found it hilarious.

Prinny1 · 01/12/2019 20:07

That child maintenance should all be saved by the resident parent towards a 'uni fund'

BercowsFestiveFlamingo · 01/12/2019 20:11

I think the sex in the hedge one is my all time favourite. I think it made it into classics but I'm not sure.

There was a farting thread a few months back that had tears running down my face. Farting is funny as but some people on there were posting with cats arse faces as they were not amused and finding farting funny is rather childish Grin

JoyTurner · 01/12/2019 20:12

The bloke from Hull posting about his Yoni ‘massage’ business always gets me
