Thought it might be fun, posting here for traffic.
What do you get for free or at a very small cost that others pay for?
This is supposed to be fun by the way...
For example
I never pay for yoga classes (family member is the teacher)
I never pay for stationary or printing (get them from work)
I never pay full price for Fatface or Debenhams purchases as I have good friends working there.

What are your freebies?

DP works in insurance so we get hefty discounts. Just need contents and life insurance atm but we pay about £20 a year for massive policies.

Also have access to discounted white goods, both our laptops were bought through a discount scheme and we get discounts at some shops & restaurants as well

HavelockVetinari · 29/11/2019 15:57

Free emergency paediatrician appointments for anything more than a sniffle (DSis).

DIY help from my DDad, gardening help from my DMum, babysitting from them both!

I’m surprised that only a couple of people have pointed out the OP working for a stationARy company

PooWillyBumBum · 29/11/2019 15:59

In my last role we got free tea/coffee which was great

Flyonthewall01 · 29/11/2019 16:14

GnomeDePlume · 29/11/2019 16:22

Oh, I have just thought of another one!

I once had a 'free' orange juice at a CIMA event at their office in London. Well that makes my £300/year subscription seem such good value!

(One for the management accountants)

Chocolateandamaretto · 29/11/2019 16:22

I have academic borrowing rights at the very large university library where I work...so more books than I could ever read for free. A very exciting perk for a bookworm!

Monday55 · 29/11/2019 16:27

2bed house Rent + Council tax + water/sewage rates all for £150 a month in Southwest England.

charm8ed · 29/11/2019 16:29

PaddingtonBrown · 29/11/2019 16:30

We used to get a free gym membership at David Lloyd when DH worked there. And we got both our cars at a discounted rate too when he worked for a big car company.
Now we just get company branded notepads and pens/highlighters he brings home for DS to draw with.
We also got super cheap windows and doors from a family friend when we brought our house.

minesagin37 · 29/11/2019 16:32

I get free tea, coffee and milk at work. Free lunches once a week. Free travel to London when I link it to a day external examining. Free counselling service should I need it. Free laptop.

minesagin37 · 29/11/2019 16:33

Oh yes free inspection copy books plus the use of a university library for free.

Modestandatinybitsexy · 29/11/2019 16:35

Childcare. MIL is a childminder but refuses payment. We spoil her with dinners and at Christmas and birthdays instead

Also jelly and jam. DH works for a jam company and gets lots of "samples"
